  1. Post update

Wolves fought back from two goals down to beat 10-man Manchester City in a memorable and controversial Premier League encounter at Molineux.

Ederson was sent off for a foul on Diogo Jota outside the box before Raheem Sterling scored twice.

The first came after two dramatic interventions by VAR, one to award City a penalty, then rule a retake, both of which Rui Patricio saved before Sterling tapped the rebound from the second into an empty net.

Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez equalised for Wolves before Matt Doherty won it in the final minute.

The result leaves City in third place, 14 points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand.

  2. 'Eighty minutes with 10 is so tough'

    FT: Wolves 3-2 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking to BBC Sport: "Eighty minutes 10 against 11 is so tough, so demanding. We could not defend the result.

"We have to think of the next game and about winning our games. It’s unrealistic to think about that [catching Liverpool]. In 48 hours we have another game."

On the gap on Liverpool: "It is big for a long time. It is not realistically to think about the title race. I have been asked the question for a long time and it is the same answer."

  3. 'You must trust referees'

    FT: Wolves 3-2 Man City

    Wolves

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo speaking to Amazon Prime about VAR: "I was thinking maybe I don't speak about VAR. I cannot speak to them [the referees] directly. Now is the time to get things right. They are decisions that effect everything. I have only seen things on the screen.

"He touches Riyad Mahrez on the foot but is it enough? I will not be a part of the discussions but they will continue. We must trust VAR and the referee. They see the image. If decisions are equal then everything will be okay. If you take the referee to the screen and he sees it in slow motion then he can decide better.

"He knows the piece of the game. Slow motion in VAR cannot judge. You know what I am saying? Let's trust more the referee. You must trust him. He can feel, see and measure everything. Even the reactions of the players. There are so many things that can help the referee."

  4. 'It is a really bad situation'

    FT: Wolves 3-2 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City winger Bernardo Silva speaking to Amazon Prime on VAR controversy: "I haven't watched them. So I can't say. The point of VAR is helping the referees so I'd like to believe he was helped.

"I like the idea that they show on the screen in the stadium so everyone sees it - the players, the referees and the fans. Maybe they do it one day like in rugby or in the NBA, I like. It of course needs improvement. Everyone needs to get used to it. It is still the beginning.

On gap of Liverpool: "It is a really bad situation for us. A frustrating first half of the season. Nobody expected us to be this far away from Liverpool at this halfway point. We have to continue now. We know that winning the title is very complicated. I wouldn't say impossible but very difficult."

  5. Post update

Simon Stone has written a report from Molineux which you can check out here. Definitely worth a read just to get your head around that penalty-then-re-taken-penalty situation!

Pep Guardiola is carrying out his press conference now. Lots of VAR chat... We'll have reaction from him and Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo on the website later.

I'll leave you with a recap of the best reaction and a summary.

  6. 'They feel no regrets'

    FT: Wolves 3-2 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking to Amazon Prime: "It is always what it is. We could not defend it at the end, they fought incredible, ran until the last minute. The goals could have been avoided.

"They [my players] feel no regrets, they did everything to defend the result."

On the impact of VAR in the game? "I didn't see it. Better not to talk about VAR."

Did VAR help the referee or compromise the referee? "I don't know."

Was Kevin de Bruyne brought off with Sunday's match in mind? "We have less than 48 hours for our next game."

On the gap on Liverpool: "It is big for a long time. It is not realistic to think about the title race. I have been asked the question for a long time and it is the same answer."

  7. 'We believed'

    FT: Wolves 3-2 Man City

    Wolves

Wolves winger Adama Traore, speaking to Amazon: "This team is amazing. We fight until the end, whatever the situation. That’s what we did today and I’m so happy for the team.

"Every one of us has worked so hard, we believed we could get this result."

On playing Liverpool next: "Liverpool are a great team and are many points in front. We will fight to give our best."

  9. 'It is a really bad situation'

    FT: Wolves 3-2 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City winger Bernardo Silva speaking to Amazon Prime: "I will have to watch it again. It is difficult to play 82 minutes with 10 men here against Wolves, one of the most difficult sides in the Premier League.

"We did well until little mistakes cost us two goals. Then when we were really tired we conceded a third goal. The effort was good but it is frustrating to play the way we did with 10 men and to leave with no points.

On VAR controversy: "I haven't watched them.

  10. 'We played a nice way'

    FT: Wolves 3-2 Man City

    Wolves

Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to BBC Sport: "I would not have been disappointed even if we did not win because we played good. No matter what the result I must be proud of the players.

"We had much more of the ball than expected, so we had to find solutions.

"We played a nice way, in the way we wanted, passing ball side to side and getting one-on-ones in wide areas."

  11. 'You must trust referees'

    FT: Wolves 3-2 Man City

    Wolves

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo speaking to Amazon Prime: "It was a good night, a very good night. The game was fantastic. Everything changes with City with one men less but it was very good.

"I told [my players] to keep doing the same things and finding solutions. More important is that we stayed in the game. We didn't do that, we conceded the second goal and made it hard for ourselves but it was a fantastic reaction. It was very good, the goals were nice, just very good!

On the VAR decisions: "I was thinking maybe I don't speak about VAR.

12. 'A pleasure to play with'

    FT: Wolves 3-2 Man City

    Wolves

Wolves match-winner Matt Doherty speaking to Amazon Prime: "It's pretty special. They were 2-0 up at one point. I can hardly hear myself speak!

"Just to come back was unbelievable. We never give up and that sums up our form at the moment.

"I was a bit disappointed that we went 2-0 down because we should have made it easier for ourselves as they were down to 10 men. We need to recover and go again in two days.

"He [Adama Traore] is unbelievable and is a pleasure to play with. He scores goals and gets assists now. He is in the form of his life and has been unbelievable this season!"

  13. Post update

  20. Post update

    Wolves 3-2 Man City

Clumsy foul by Adama Traore, who brings Raheem Sterling down on the edge of the box.

Free-kick in a very inviting position for Man City. Kevin de Bruyne isn't on the pitch to take it but Bernardo Silva will fancy this, surely?
