  1. Still four clubs battling it out

We move on to tomorrow evening and we still have four teams who could be involved in that Premiership Play-off final.

Hamilton and St Mirren will go into their final league game of the season battling it out to avoid second bottom in the top flight.

Tomorrow, Inverness Caley Thistle entertain Championship rivals Dundee United in the first leg of the semi-final.

By the time Accies host St Johnstone and St Mirren visit Dundee, they will know their potential opponents after Friday's second leg.

Join us online and on BBC Radio Scotland for live coverage of all those games.

  3. 'We showed good mentality'

FT: St Mirren 2-0 Hamilton Academical

St Mirren manager Oran Kearney tells BBC Radio Scotland: "It is great to get the three points. Our aim was to keep it alive until Saturday and we're glad to do that.

"It took a lot of time to crack them open and get the first goal.

"The level of patience we showed, nobody deviated and we showed a good mentality to get the job done.

"We move on to doing our job on Saturday. It is still in Hamilton's hands and we'll do our job and see what happens.

"I don't expect that Dundee will just lie down on Saturday."

  4. 'We are Hamilton. We thrive on these things'

FT: St Mirren 2-0 Hamilton Academical

Hamilton manager Brian Rice tells Sportsound: "I think St Mirren deserved to win the match.

"Willie Collum has sent the guy off. What I think doesn't matter.

"The response was magnificent. Throwing bodies on the line, headers, tackles, blocks. The goalkeeper made saves, but it wasn't to be.

"It's still in our hands. We are a point clear of St Mirren and we are at home. We have a good record at home.

"This is Hamilton. We thrive on these things. We go again on Saturday."

  5. 'You would hand pick Dundee'

    Steven Thompson

Former St Mirren striker on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: If you were to hand pick a team to play on the last day of the season, it would be Dundee as they are in a bit of disarray. But, if Hamilton do the business against St Johnstone, it doesn't matter
  6. 'I could hardly celebrate'

FT: St Mirren 2-0 Hamilton Academical

St Mirren's second goalscorer, Kyle Magennis, tells Sportsound: "It is absolutely unbelievable.

"We just had to keep the ball, be patient and fortunately we got two goals.

"My calves had ceased up, I was just thinking about them. I could hardly celebrate.

"Hopefully St Johnstone can do us a favour and we can beat Dundee."

  7. 'It was huge' - Kearney

FT: St Mirren 2-0 Hamilton Academical

St Mirren manager Oran Kearner tells BT Sport: "It was huge.

"It was important to be patient and make sure we didn't move from the game plan. In the second half, we were brilliant.

"McAllister tonight was exceptional and, if anyone deserved the first goal, it was him.

"The crowd have been top notch. They have got stronger as the season has gone on and they were like a 12th man.

"Our job at the start of the week was two wins."

  8. Paisley as 'buzzing'

FT: St Mirren 2-0 Hamilton Academical

    Derek Ferguson

    Former Hamilton midfielder on Sportsound

Quote Message: I am disappointed as an Accies man, but it was nice to see this place buzzing tonight
  9. Dateline Saturday

FT: St Mirren 2-0 Hamilton Academical

St Mirren remain in second bottom and deep in relegation danger, but their victory takes them to within a point of tonight's visitors.

The Buddies travel to face relegated Dundee on Saturday.

Despite it being away from home, that sounds like an easier task than Hamilton's at home to seventh-top St Johnstone.

St Mirren also have a much better goal difference.

  11. FULL-TIME St Mirren 2-0 Hamilton Academical

So we go on to the final day and we still don't know whether St Mirren or Hamilton will be finishing second bottom and facing a play-off against the side coming through the play-off semi-final.

Accies will rue an early miss by George Oakley and may question the sending off of Alex Gogic.

But St Mirren went on to deserve their victory, although it came through a scrappy goal from Kyle McAllister followed by a Kyle Magennis strike after the visitors were down to nine men following Mickel Miller's injury.

  12. GOAL St Mirren 2-0 Hamilton Academical

    Kyle Magennis

That's settled it. Accies captain Darian MacKinnon concedes possession and Kyle Magennis, having wasted a chance moments earlier, makes no mistake as he sidesteps Ziggy Gordon and fires home from 15 yards.

  14. Accies down to nine men

    St Mirren 1-0 Hamilton Academical

It looks like Accies striker has a dislocated shoulder as he trudges off.

Accies down to nine men. It looks all over now - for tonight at least.

We've got six minutes of stoppage time to play!

  15. Post update

    St Mirren 1-0 Hamilton Academical

Are we heading into a final-day climax to decide who will be facing a play-off to stay in the Premiership?

As it stands, St Mirren will be travelling to Dundee one point behind Hamilton, who will be hosting St Johnstone.

  16. Ouch!

    St Mirren 1-0 Hamilton Academical

Accies striker Mickel Miller goes down awkwardly as he competes for a high ball with Jack Baird.

The visitors can't afford to go down to nine men.

  18. Post update

    St Mirren 1-0 Hamilton Academical

Accies are wide open at the back, but they are starting to create chances of their own.

Dougie Imrie starts the attack, which ends with goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky having to slap the ball off the toes of George Oakley.

Oakley then sends a low drive just wide.

  19. GREAT SAVE!

    St Mirren 1-0 Hamilton Academical

Gary Woods keeps Accies in the game with a fine save, beating away a powerful drive by goalscorer Kyle McAllister.

The goalkeeper then has to look smart to save a near-post header by Cody Cooke.

  20. Imrie on for Martin

    St Mirren 1-0 Hamilton Academical

Dougie Imrie, who is retiring at the end of the season, is sent on by Accies boss Brian Rice.

Can the veteran winger do some damage against his former club.

He replaces Scott Martin in midfield.
