    Nick Wilmshurst

    BBC Local Live, Leeds

Thanks for being with us today, we'll be back tomorrow with more news, sport, weather and travel from 08:00.

Until then, let's look back at five things we didn't know when we woke up...

    1. The people of Hewmsworth and Crofton are not fans of HS2.
    2. It may take some time, but floods can't stop the pub from opening.
    3. Getting an iconic building back on its feet takes time and a bit of money. Well a lot of money actually.
    4. Just because it's raining doesn't mean you can't have fun.
    5. Tracy Barlow once appeared at court in Bradford. What do you mean? Of course she's real...

    See you tomorrow!

A charity which supports families with Downs Syndrome in Bradford is being threatened with closure.

The service helps hundreds of people a year who can't afford to pay for speech and language therapy.

  3. Lloyds to axe 3,000 jobs and shut another 200 branches

    BBC Business News

Banking group Lloyds has accelerated its job-cutting scheme, axing a further 3,000 posts.

It has also doubled its planned branch closures, with 200 more set to vanish from High Streets by the end of 2017, although we don't know yet how many of those will be in our region.

The bank attributed the cuts to changes in people's banking habits, and the effects of interest rates remaining low in the wake of Brexit.

  4. Weather: Sunshine to return tomorrow

    Paul Hudson

    Weather presenter, BBC Look North

Tonight, it'll be mostly cloudy with patchy outbreaks of rain. Minimum temperature 13C (55F).

    HS3 link

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority meets today to discuss whether Bradford should also be included on a new route to connect northern cities, dubbed HS3.

  6. Watch: West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue release footage of dramatic river rescue

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue have released footage of a rescue in the River Aire.

A man is seen to fall into the water and begins to struggle as the cold water starts to take its toll on his body.

Thankfully the fire crew responded very quickly, and he was pulled from the water unconscious and not breathing. He was revived beside the river and was taken to hospital suffering from hypothermia.

    Luckily he survived.

  8. Travel update: M621 outbound accident

    BBC Travel

And here's another accident at probably the worst time of day. This time on the M621 outbound in Leeds between J1 (A6110 Beeston) and M62 (J27 Gildersome).

The police have a rolling road-block in place, there's congestion to J2, A643 (Elland Road).

It must be because of the conditions on the roads this afternoon. Make sure you take care on your way home.

Below is the scene just after J2.

  10. Odeon group awarded cash to renovate derelict building

Bradford is one step closer to getting the iconic Odeon back into use.

    Bradford Odeon

Bradford Live, which is responsible for developing the derelict Odeon, today received a grant of £325,000 from the Local Growth Fund to go towards its fundraising total.

The group needs to raise £15m to turn the former cinema and dance hall into a 3,000-capacity music venue.

  11. Samia Shahid's first husband set to be questioned by police

Here's more on the suspected honour killing of Bradford-born Samia Shahid in Pakistan.

Police in Punjab have confirmed that Choudhry Mohammad Shakeel, the first husband of Samia Shahid, has been granted "pre-arrest bail".

This means he cannot be arrested in connection with Samia Shahid's death for an as yet unspecified period. Pre-arrest bail is a common legal move in Pakistan and while it prevents a suspect from being arrested for a crime, it does allow police  to interview the suspect.

In this instance the police believe Mr Shakeel will offer himself for interview within the next 24 hours, says BBC journalist Philip Palmer in Islamabad.

  12. Autopsy shows bruise on Samia Shahid's neck

Police in Pakistan investigating the death of a 28-year-old British woman have confirmed that a 19cm bruise was found on her neck after her death.

Samia Shahid died in Pakistan last week while visiting her family. Her husband claims she was the victim of a so-called "honour killing".

    Samia Shahid

Mukhtar Kazim says she had fallen out with her relatives and he doesn't believe their explanation that she died of natural causes. A murder inquiry is under way.

Mr Kazim says a post mortem examination showed his wife had a bruise on her neck, which police have confirmed.

Her father has been questioned but there have been no arrests. He has denied any wrongdoing.

  13. Behind the scenes in Bradford

The secrets of Bradford's city hall have been unlocked!

It's part of the council's "Sneaky Peeks" exhibition which allows the public behind the scenes access to buildings and unseen museum artifacts.

The courtroom at city hall is often used in TV soaps. Tracy Barlow from Corrie once faced the judge in here!

  14. Watch: St. James' staff dance to the Macarena

We hear today that if you sit at your desk at work for more than eight-hours-a-day, you could be seriously putting your health at risk.

Well, maybe we should all take some inspiration from the physiotherapists at St. James' Hospital in Leeds. Yesterday they danced to the Macarena in the Bexley Wing atrium!
