    Lets look back at five things we didn't know when we woke up this morning.

    1. Hull City Council deals with over 1,000 cases of fly-tipping a year. 
    2. Today's the last chance for people in Lincolnshire to give their views about the idea of a Greater Lincolnshire authority.
    3. Hull City caretaker manager Mike Phelan is having talks with the club amidst speculation he may be offered the role on a permanent basis. 
    4.  A vicar who had her car stolen as she left church in Hull yesterday says she's not lost her faith in the city.

  3. Police searching for masked man in Grimsby who chased children

    Three children have been chased across a playing field in Grimsby by a masked man.

    The boys were walking across the field near Carnforth Crescent last week when the man who was wearing a ski mask started chasing them.

    They ran to a person close by and the masked man ran off. None of the boys were hurt.

  4. Man who 'stole' tattoo wanted by police

    Humberside Police are appealing for help in identifying a man who sat for a tattoo but left without paying.

    The theft happened on Friday, 22 July when the man engaged the services of Gary’s Tattoo Shop,on Beverley Road in Hull.

    He and the tattooist agreed a fee of £60, but when the work was complete the suspect ran out of the shop towards the city centre.

  5. Watch: Marathon man Ben Smith on why he's raising money for anti-bullying charities

  7. East Yorkshire actor backs law change on right to die

    The East Yorkshire-born actor and learning disabilities campaigner Lord Rix says he wants the law to be changed so that he can be helped to die.

    Lord Rix says terminal illness has "left him like a beached whale", confined  to his bed and in constant discomfort.

    He's previously opposed an assisted dying law because he feared that people with learning disabilities might become the unwilling victims of euthanasia.

  8. Calls for Humber Sesh to be over two days

    There are calls for the Humber Street Sesh to be extended to take place over two days. 

    It was held on Saturday, with more than 200 bands appearing.

  9. People in Grimsby urged to have their say on Lincolnshire mayor

    Today's the last chance for people in Lincolnshire to give their views about the idea of a Greater Lincolnshire authority.

    A consultation's been held about the proposed move to transfer more powers from Westminster to the area. 

    The plans would also mean the county gets its own mayor.

  10. Two Kayakers taken to hospital after getting into difficulties

    The Hornsea Coastguard Rescue Team were deployed on Sunday after they received information that two kayakers had got into difficulty off the East Coast.

    Hornsea Inshore Rescue took both casualties to shore. They were then transported by ambulance to hospital.

  11. Listen: Hull Vicar still has faith in city despite carjacking

    A vicar who had her car stolen as she left church in Hull yesterday says she's not lost her faith in the city.

    It happened near Holy Trinity in the city centre at around 13:30 BST.

    Two teenagers have been charged with robbery.

    Speaking to David Burns this morning, Reverend Irene Wilson says this shouldn't spoil people's impression of the city:

  13. Inspection for North Lincolnshire road following family tragedy

    A road near Grimsby where a family was killed will be inspected this week.

    Five members of the Cockburn family died in a crash on the A18 near Laceby three years ago.

    At the inquest into their deaths a review was ordered into the state of the road.

  14. Concerns for missing Cleethorpes woman

    Concerns are growing for a missing Cleethorpes woman, who was last seen by her partner yesterday afternoon. 

    Officers leading the search for 31-year-old Donna Purvis,  who is also known as Brita, are particularly concerned as she is pregnant, though may not obviously appear to be so.

    It is believed she is still in the Cleethorpes area but, despite extensive searches by officers, she is yet to be found.

  15. Campaign to tackle fly-tipping in Hull Launched

    Hull City Council is to begin using CCTV footage to help track down fly-tippers.

    The local authority will begin to publish images of people dumping waste from today and ask for help to help catch them. 

    The council says there are more than 1,000 reports of fly-tipping in the city every year.
