Football fans heading to the Ipswich-Norwich derby this Sunday are being warned of road closures and traffic congestion around Portman Road.

Suffolk police is asking fans to allow extra time for journeys to and from the stadium, and to follow the directions of stewards and police officers at the ground. Turnstiles and stadium bars will be open from 10:00-10:30, ahead of the midday kick-off.

As Usain Bolt sets his sights on breaking his 200m world record at the Rio Olympics after winning the 100m, a former school mate tells me he's not surprised the sprint legend won a third gold.

Herdlyn Evans, who's appearing as part of the Flying Aces act at Great Yarmouth's Hippodrome, says Bolt was one of the fastest kids in school in his age group.

But did he compete against him? "No, I chose not to... he was always going to beat me."

Herdlyn says he remembers Usain Bolt's first Olympics... "He came fifth or fourth in his first event, which I doubt most people remember."

There'll be plenty of sunshine to end the day and then a dry night with some isolated mist and fog patches.

Tomorrow will be another fine and dry day with plenty of sunshine.

Temperatures are expected to climb to about 23C (73F). It will be a few degrees cooler on the coast with an on-shore easterly wind, light to moderate in strength.

Britain's thirst for prosecco and cava has seen a rise in sparkling wine sales over the last few years, with more than 31.6m gallons sold in 2015/16 compared to 17.6m four years earlier.

Jeremy Dunn, from the Norfolk Wine School, is not surprised, as "prosecco is a very accessible way of drinking fizz, bringing in a whole new wave of customers into sparkling wine sales... in pubs, bars, restaurants and clubs prosecco sales are really booming."

The majority of sparkling wine is imported from France, Spain and Italy, but more is now being made at home. Last year, 37 new wine producers and vineyards opened in England.

Two people have died after a car crash in south west Norfolk.

A man and a woman, believed to live locally, were in a green Mini Cooper when they crashed into a tree at Methwold Hythe, near Downham Market.

The crash happened sometime between 19:00 yesterday and 07:00 this morning. Severalls Road remained closed while police investigators were at the scene. It has now reopened.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a car and two pedestrians.

The incident happened shortly after midnight on Saturday, when a Mercedes Benz and two people were involved in a collision on Aylsham Road near to Blickling Hall. The vehicle failed to stop and drove off in the direction of Buxton.

Both pedestrians were knocked to the ground, and one received minor injuries.

Earlier we reported that City looked set to sign the French striker Jerome Onguene - Rob Butler's just tweeted this from the Canaries press conference...

We've got some news on new signing midfielder Alex Pritchard.

Our reporter Rob Butler is keeping us up to date with what's happened at the Norwich City press conference.

Tomorrow the Canaries are at home to Bristol City.

A former Norwich biking champion of the 1980s who was paralysed when he crashed at 120mph (193 km/h) has returned and ridden the circuit where he broke his back.

Phil Armes, who won races in the Isle of Man and even China, crashed at the Ulster Grand Prix in 1995. He returned to the circuit last year for the first time, but heavy rain meant he couldn't ride.

This weekend, he successfully complete a lap (seen above) in front of more than 60,000 fans lining the 7.6 mile (10.7 km) road circuit.

He described it as "very emotional", and was glad to have a dark visor on as it gave him "a few moments to compose himself before talking to the commentator at the end of the lap."

City aim to brush off their Owls frustration in double-quick time - the back page of today's Norwich Evening News.

An Eastern European shop damaged in an arson attack in Norwich last month has reopened.

A brick was reportedly thrown through the window of the Village Shop in Magdalen Street, and a small fire started in the early hours of 8 July.

Two people inside a flat attached to the shop managed to escape unharmed. 

People in Norwich showed their support for the Romanian shop, writing messages of support on love hearts, while a crowdfunding appeal on the JustGiving website raised more than £30,000 to repair the store.

It took 72 hours, one minute and 54 seconds for a group of Dereham drummers to smash the Guinness World Record for the " Longest Drumming Marathon by a Team."

But sadly it was all in vain. A technical hitch with their camera meant JDT Music Academy didn't make it into the 2016 edition of the Guinness Book of Records. About four hours of footage was lost, leading to their claim being rejected.

Undaunted, they're now prepared to tackle the three day feat all over again. Over the August bank holiday, five drummers drumming will attempt to beat the current world record of 66 hours, with a whopping 80 hours of continuous drumming.

A teenage girl from Great Yarmouth has been told she can go to America to receive treatment for her brain tumour.

Abbie Boast was diagnosed in May after suffering from seizures. Doctors said the 14-year-old would need proton beam therapy, a form of radio therapy, which isn't yet available in the UK.

Her mother, Ali, says they've been told the NHS has now approved the treatment abroad.
