Plans for new homes in north Hull has gone ahead on the proviso developers can resolve the drainage and flood risk issues across the site. Failure to do so will result in a refusal.
The Wawne View development is in two phases and could see up to 1,600 homes being built over all.

Campaigners who want a public inquiry into child abuse at the old St Williams care home near Market Weighton have now won the backing of Leeds MP, Hilary Benn.
He's written to Judge Lowell Goddard asking her to include the cases in her investigations into historical child abuse.
Hilary Benn MP will join Peter later this evening on Look North.

Man suffered serious injuries at the Mariners game on Saturday

A 46-year-old man suffered multiple injuries in an unprovoked attack following Saturday’s Grimsby Town v Sheffield United match.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who walked along the sea front from Fuller Street towards Suggitts Lane after Saturdays home match.
The victim was found by police officers at around 5.45pm on a grassed area, approximately 100m from the Suggitts Lane railway crossing.
He remains in hospital in a serious condition. Police say the route was taken by numerous people leaving Blundell Park following the match.
Hull City Tigers: Matchday prices confirmed

The Tigers have confirmed matchday ticket prices for their return to the Premier League in the 2016/17 season.
Tickets for the opening game of the season with champions Leicester City will go on sale from 9am tomorrow.

Specialist service for children with mental health problems gets go ahead

Families with children who have mental health problems have been helping to plan a new specialist service at a meeting today.
NHS England has agreed to develop a new hospital after a long campaign by parents.
The closure of hospital beds at the Westend Unit in Hessle three years ago has led to dozens of children being sent miles away for treatment.
These parents have fought for the service.

The force has started a campaign with our four local councils to say enough is enough.
Some victims have told them they've been punched and spat at, others say their cars have been damaged and windows smashed.
Officers are reassuring victims that they will be taken seriously and it's not something they have to put up with.

It's your last chance as applications close on Sunday 31 July.
If you apply after this time you'll go into the third phase of volunteers, with shifts starting in the spring.
