The charity Oxfam has revealed the artists who are on the new Glastonbury live album.

The compilation is made up of live performances from Glastonbury and will raise money to support their work with refugees.

It will also be dedicated to the late MP Jo Cox, who was killed in her home village near Leeds in June.

The stamp collections owned by Freddie Mercury and John Lennon are going to go on display this September in London.

John Lennon’s childhood stamp collection was started by his older cousin and given to him when he was ten. He collected stamps from letters sent from New Zealand and America and added moustaches to pictures of Queen Victoria and King George VI.

Mercury collected stamps between the ages of 9 and 12. His collection focused on stamps from Zanzibar - where he was born - and the British Empire.

The collections are being loaned by The Postal Museum and Smithsonian’s National Postal Museum and will be on display at the Stampex exhibition that takes place between 14 and 17 September.

Oscar-winning composer Vangelis is to release a new album, Rosetta, inspired by his passion for space. 

It's been inspired by the Rosetta Mission - the pioneering project by the European Space Agency to land a probe on a comet for the first time in history.

It came about after astronaut Andre Kuipers, who is a fan of Vangelis, got in touch with him while aboard the International Space Station. The stories they shared via video calls inspired Vangelis to write the album    

“Mythology, science and space exploration are subjects that have fascinated me since my early childhood. And they were always connected somehow with the music I write,” he said.

It will be released on 23 September and marks the culmination of the 12-year mission.

Pink has recorded a duet with Country star Kenny Chesney which got its first radio play in the US last night. 

Chesney has a history of dueting with artists in other musical genres - he's previously teamed up with Dave Matthews, Grace Potter and Uncle Kracker.

Setting the World on Fire will appear on Chesney's album Cosmic Hallelujah, which is released later this year.  

Chesney said Pink was the perfect person to duet on the song with.

Grime artist Wiley left fans in a spin when he tweeted that he was scrapping his latest album before deleting the message.  

He sent a tweet calling his next album "pointless" before deleting it and assuring his followers an album is on the way.

Providing he doesn't change his mind... again, Wiley's 11th studio album The Godfather will be out on Friday 2 September.

Artists including Anohni, and members of Sonic Youth and the New York Dolls are set to pay tribute to the late Lou Reed at an event at the Lincoln Center in New York on Saturday.

Curated by Reed's partner Laurie Anderson, The Bells is a day-long celebration in honour of the Velvet Underground singer - who died in 2013.

The event is named after the title track from Reed's 1979 album.

A performance of Reed's love songs will feature Anderson and a band composed of Sonic Youth's Lee Ranaldo and Steve Shelley, and fronted by New York Dolls' David Johansen.

Actors Willem Dafoe and Steve Buscemi will also do readings of Reed's lyrics.

Another music star making a fan's night by bringing them up on stage (scroll down to see Adele do the same) is Gwen Stefani. 

She noticed a sign in the audience at her gig in Florida from a mum who told how her son had been bullied for a number of years but had been helped by her music. 

Stefani was quick to get the young lad up on stage and give him a big hug - cue lots of tears all round, including from the singer herself as she admitted later on Twitter. 

She posted the footage of the encounter on her Instagram and said: 

"About 3 years ago when things were hard in my life I prayed to God everyday that I could get a chance to use my gift that God gave me and make a difference in some way in this world - last night this little guy was the answer to my prayers 🙏 #zerotoleranceforbullies#onelove#thisiswhatthetruthfeelslike Gx"

French DJ and producer Kungs nearly achieved what many others had failed when he almost knocked Drake's One Dance from the top of the UK charts with his song This Girl.

The teenager has now teamed up with gravelly blues singer Jamie N Commons for his follow up Don't You Know.

A comedy series, based on the life of the late rapper Notorious B.I.G. is in development at a US television network.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Think B.I.G. will apparently chronicle the misadventures of an inner-city teen desperately trying to create a better future for his daughter and infant son and will be based loosely on Biggie's lyrics.

It comes nearly 20 years after the rapper was killed in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. 

Raised by a single parent, dealing drugs by the age of 12, a prison spell at age 19 and dead at 24.

Italian composer and pianist Ludovico Einaudi has revealed his greatest passion on tour, outside of playing piano. It turns out the maestro is a huge fan of ping-pong.

The musician, who is the most streamed classical artist in the world, performed on Radio 1's Live Lounge last year, doing a classical reworking of Sam Smith.

He is currently playing a four night run at the Royal Festival Hall in London and revealed he even takes his own table tennis table on tour with him. 

"I like to play ping-pong with the other musicians, we have tournaments during the tour," he explained to the BBC.

Quote Message: "I am very competitive with my piano tuner, we have a very competitive relationship. The tournament has gone on for the past few years, so we never stop. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, but recently my tuner has been winning so it's not a good time to talk to me about it.

"I'm better now. I'm okay but I do some stretching before playing table tennis now."

We told you last week how My Chemical Romance had got fans all excited that they could be getting back together after they posted a music teaser on social media - only to clarify to fans the next day that the teaser was an anniversary release for their album The Black Parade.

"We are not touring and there is no reunion planned," they told heartbroken fans. 

Now they've released details of that tenth anniversary edition of The Black Parade and it will include 11 never before heard demos, rarities and songs from recording sessions.

The brother of Viola Beach's guitarist has told the BBC the band would be "thrilled about the release of their posthumous debut album.

Compiled by their families, the eponymous album consists of nine tracks the band recorded before they were killed in a car crash earlier this year - including debut single Swings & Waterslides, which entered the UK charts in February, and Boys That Sing, which Coldplay performed as a tribute at Glastonbury.

Finn Reeves, brother of guitarist River said: "I think they are out there somewhere jumping up and down and just going ‘Yeah, go on guys, get people to listen to our music’."

Neil Hannon has told how he is performing a "phenomenally difficult" tribute song at the Bowie Prom later tonight (scroll down for more details). 

The Divine Comedy frontman will be singing Station to Station, which is ten minutes long, and This Is Not America. 

Ice Cube is giving the classic game show Hollywood Squares a hip hop makeover. 

Cube is executive producing the show which will be called Hip Hop Squares and has been picked up by VH1. 

We're told it will feature the biggest names in hip hop, comedy and entertainment battling their wits and pop culture knowledge. 

It's due to air in the autumn and Cube has high hopes.

UK country duo The Shires are back with the first single from their new album, an uptempo footstomper called Beats To Your Rhythm.

It's just premiered on Ken Bruce's Radio 2 show - and singer Ben Earle has been telling BBC Music News LIVE how the song was written in his friend's shed.

"I wrote that with a good friend of mine called Dan McDougal," he says. "We were just sat in his shed, and he starts playing these rhythms - a lot of crazy rhythms, and it just felt really natural as a lyric, 'my heart beats to a rhythm?’ 

"I live for you, I live for the rhythm you go by. It’s very heartfelt."

Earle says the sound of the new album was inspired by their recent tours supporting The Corrs and Little Big Town.

"We wanted something uptempo for those arenas. Something for people to clap along to."

Like the rest of the band's new album, Beats To Your Rhythm was recorded in Nashville.

"The session players there love doing our stuff because it’s different to what they do normally," says Earle. "It isn’t just a straight down the line country song. It is country but it’s a bit different."

Once the basic track was laid down, though, Ben and Crissie fled to Sweden to record their vocals. Apparently the change in atmosphere aided their performance.

"We didn’t have time to go to any saunas, unfortunately. But the air is so clean; and the water! They don’t buy much bottled water there because their water is so great. Everything’s just so fresh and clean."

Adele has come face to face with her drag queen double at a concert in Seattle. 

She got Kristie Champagne up on stage when she spotted him in the audience.  

Champagne performs as Adele at club nights in the city and was very happy to meet his idol. 

In Wednesday's Music News LIVE, we alerted you to the slightly odd, overly earnest a capella song made by celebrity supporters of Hilary Clinton's presidential bid.

It was a cover version of Rachel Platten's Fight Song, and she appears in the video alongside Ugly Betty actress America Ferrera and members of the Modern Family cast.

It seemed an easy target for spoofing, so thank you Stephen Colbert and John Oliver for doing just that.

M.I.A. is not happy that the video for her track Borders missed out on a nomination for the MTV Music Video Awards. 

Beyonce dominated with 11 nominations when they were announced two days ago.

M.I.A. directed the visually striking video in which she also appeared singing alongside refugees.

She tweeted the snub was "racism, sexism, classism and elitism".  

She then re-tweeted a fan who suggested people didn't want to hear about refugees, a point she had made in an interview with the Evening Standard.
