A Lincolnshire businessman has been sent to prison for tax fraud.
Richard Hotchin admitted cheating the public revenue of nearly £150,000.
Lincoln Crown Court heard the 39 year old from Scotter near Gainsborough had used fake invoices to falsely claim VAT. Hotchin, who ran a company in Scunthorpe, has been jailed for 21 months.
70-year-old Stamford man left unconscious after unprovoked attack

An elderly Stamford man had to be taken to hospital after he was attacked on Sussex Road just after 4pm on Wednesday the 20th of July.
Police say the unprovoked attack left the man unconscious with an injury to his face.
The attacker was described as a white male, of a skinny build and in his mid 20’s. He was wearing a black t-shirt.

Safety inspections will be carried out on a stretch of road in North East Lincolnshire, where five members of the same family died three years ago.
The Coburn family were killed when their car collided with a lorry on the A18 near Laceby.
The inspections will be carried out after a coroner criticised the way the road was maintained.

After a dry start with some sunny spells, cloud will increase during the morning with the odd light shower by afternoon.
More general cloud and outbreaks of rain will spread to the west of the region later in the day.
Traffic and travel: Disruption on A17 and A151

There's slow traffic still on the A17 heading west in Sleaford between the A153 East Road junction and the Holdingham Roundabout.
A burning vehicle blocked the road earlier.
Meanwhile the A151 High Road in Weston is partially blocked in both directions near the Wiseman's Gate junction because of a crash.
Demolition plans for Grimsby's East Marsh estate

Preparations for the demolition of the first buildings on Grimsby's East Marsh estate begin today.
The maisonettes on Comber Place (pictured) will be the first to be knocked down, as part of major works by the social housing landlord Shoreline.
The demolition of the six neighbouring high rise tower blocks is due to happen next year.
