Searching for Bradford Jesus Man
I thought you might like to be able to read a bit more about the man known as "Bradford Jesus Man", if you've never come across him before. A plaque to celebrate his life has been unveiled in Shipley today.
He built up something of a cult following as he was often seen walking the streets around Bradford wearing a brown robe and sandals. As he walked he smiled and waved at passers-by. It's thought he had been doing this since the 1960s.

His real name was Geoffrey Brindley and sightings of him even led to a special webpage being created logging all the sightings of him around Bradford.
In 1960 the Telegraph & Argus reported that a 33-year-old Mr Brindley, quit his job as a machinist to live in a cave near Settle so he could "receive a message from God".
It's thought he then returned to Bradford after 12 days in the cave, wearing a habit.
