    Thank you for joining us on our live feed across East Yorkshire and the Humber today. 

    Lets look back at five things we didn't know when we woke up this morning.

    1.  Scunthorpe swimmer Jack Burnell had his appeal turned down. 
    2. £65,000 worth of bikes were stolen across East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire in July.
    3. Pensioners in our area are having to pay almost double their average income to be able to afford a care home.  
    4. The RSPB has hit out at a decision to expand the world's biggest wind farm off the East Yorkshire coast.  
    5. The owner of a broken down car in Hull city centre faces £500 worth of parking fines.

  2. Sam Clucas signs new Hull City deal

  3. Listed Grimsby building could cost council extra £1m

    It could cost North East Lincolnshire council another £1m to repair a listed building in Grimsby.

    The privately-owned Victoria Mills was evacuated in February when high winds caused structural problems. 

    The local authority has already paid £1m to make it safe after its owners failed to so.

  4. Traffic and travel news: Road closure after crash near Rimswell

    Road closures are currently in place following a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a tractor near Rimswell, Withernsea.

    The collision happened shortly before 14:05 BST on Thirtle Bridge Lane.

    Motorists are advised to avoid the area until further notice.

  5. Car left in Hull faces £500 worth of parking tickets

    The owner of this car in Hull is facing a hefty fine. It's been left on Osborne Street since the end of July and now has nine tickets stuck on the windscreen. The owner could have to pay around £500.

    • Police have re-appealed for witnesses after a car overturned in East Yorkshire killing an 83-year-old woman and leaving an 81- year-old man in hospital

  8. Wifi deal struck for Hull City Centre

    A deal has been struck between Hull City Council and a local firm to bring a new free wifi service to the centre of Hull. 

    It should be available in time for City of Culture year 2017. 

    The contract was awarded to the company Connexin.

  9. Calls for government to provide more rural transport funding

    The government should provide more cash for rural buses not invite councils to bid for money to develop future transport technologies says the Campaign for better Transport. 

    The East Riding of Yorkshire Council has proposed cutting bus subsidies by 40%.     

  10. Appeal following fatal collision

    Humberside Police are re-appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the A614 Driffield bypass near Kellythorpe, which is believed to have occurred between 4pm and 5pm on Saturday 13 August.

    Police were called at 8.20am on Sunday 14 August with reports that a silver coloured Ford B-Max Zetec had left the road and overturned before coming to a stop in a field.

    The front seat passenger, an 83-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

    The driver, a 81-year-old man, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and is receiving treatment at Hull Royal Infirmary.
