    Worcester City will host Chorley at the Victoria Ground tomorrow - City are still seeking their first league win of the Vanarama North season. 

    Redditch United have switched their fixture with Kings Langley tomorrow and will now play away, rather than at home as originally scheduled.

    Things were running smoothly at Birmingham Airport this morning, despite a record number of passengers.

  5. 'Unattractive and untidy' street to get facelift

    Broad Street in Worcester has been left looking "unattractive and untidy" and there are defects that could present "safety issues" for pedestrians, Worcestershire County Council says.

    The local authority says work to give the area a facelift will start on Tuesday.

    Dedicated pedestrianised areas will be widened and street furniture improved with materials that complement and match those used in nearby streets that have recently been so successfully refurbished.  

  6. Cricket: Worcestershire sign Aussie all-rounder

    Worcestershire have signed Australian all-rounder John Hastings as their overseas player for the 2017 campaign.

    He's appeared in one test, 20 ODIs and eight T20s for his country and is currently part of the Australia T20 squad in action in Sri Lanka.

  7. World War Two battles remembered in city park

    A service to remember soldiers from the Worcestershire regiment who fought in two battles during World War Two in 1944 has been held. 

    The wreath-laying ceremony took place at Gheluvelt Park in Worcester.

    Those taking part were be paying tribute to soldiers who fought to liberate the town of Vernon in France and who halted the Japanese advance into India at the siege of Kohima in Burma.

  8. Travel: Roundup of problems on the roads

    There are still delays on the M5 northbound after an accident, now cleared, between J5 (Droitwich) and J4a (M42) - the congestion stretches back to J7 (Worcester south).

    There are delays on the A4538 Pershore Lane at Martin Hussingree.

    There's queueing traffic traffic on the A441 Birmingham Road in both direction in Hopwood due to roadworks.

    In Herefordshire, there's slow traffic on the A465 Belmont Road coming into the city at the Belmont roundabout.

    Further south there's stop/start traffic on the A40 westbound between the turning for Whitchurch and the Monmouth traffic lights.

  10. Cricket: Second century for Mitchell as Worcestershire chase target

    Daryl Mitchell has made his second ton of the game as Worcestershire chase a target of 350 on the last day of their match against Northamptonshire at New Road.

  11. Historic locomotive nameplate on display at plum festival

    The historic nameplate from a Great Western Railway steam locomotive will be taking pride of place at this year's Pershore Plum Festival.

    The organisers appeared on BBC Hereford & Worcester to try and locate the nameplate, which turned out to be owned by a family in Ledbury

    The plate had been lovingly cared for by the late David Evans, a former director of the Three Counties Show, and is still in the possession of his family.

    The locomotive was built in 1899 and was originally called the Plymouth, but after being relocated to the Worcester shed in 1927, it was renamed the Pershore Plum.

    The bad news is there's going to be heavy rain this weekend, according to the Met Office - the good news is there's a low risk of surface flooding.

    Drivers are being warned there are severe delays on the M42 southbound between J2 (Alvechurch) and J1 (Bromsgrove) after an accident closed one lane. More from BBC Travel.

  14. Football: Harriers' full back doubtful for Saturday

    Kidderminster Harriers' full back, Jared Hodgkiss, is still carrying an injury and is unlikely to make it for Saturday's trip to Boston United.

    Manager John Eustace says he could well be back in contention for either Bank Holiday Monday or next Friday, when Harriers will head to Darlington.

    The new president of the Worcester Carnival says he is investigating why this year's event was called off at short notice. 

    City councillor Alan Feeney has taken on the role after the procession was called off just four days before it was due to be held.
