Sheffield gets ready for the north's biggest outdoor art show

Thousands of visitors are to flock to the Botanical Gardens next weekend for the biggest outdoor art show in the north.
Art in the Garden is a chance for more than 300 art creators to show off their work and flog their wares.
There is also a programme of live entertainment, an art market, clothing, jewellery, gifts and refreshments, craft demonstrations and an art activity village for children.

Claire Gelder was working for the NHS until around a year ago and was knitting in her spare time to deal with stress and depression.
She decided to give up her job and turn her hobby into a business.

The road near to the former nightclub that burnt down last week is to remain closed for two weeks as contractors demolish the building.
Contractors working for the owner of the Chicago Rock building are beginning their work to pull the building down.

Brassed Off to be brought back at mining museum this weekend

It's 20 years since the film came out, but this weekend a stage version of Brassed Off is being performed in what might be the ideal location.
The play's being staged at the National Coal Mining Museum at the former Caphouse Colliery in Overton today and tomorrow.

A new University Technical College will open on the old stadium site next month and there will be new stadiums for the Sheffield Eagles and Sheffield Sharks.

Daughter of woman who was saved by Asda staff praises response
Kate Tindall was shopping with her two-year-old daughter when her mum Gail Tindall collapsed near the checkouts.

Speaking to the BBC, Kate said her mum was doing remarkably well considering what happened.

Mrs Tindall, 72, was rushed to hospital after her heart stopped for two minutes, but the quick thinking of the staff saved her life.
She's currently recovering well in the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.
Recovery Games gets colourful in Doncaster

About 400 people have taken part in a fun-packed Recovery Games in Doncaster today to celebrate recovery from drug and alcohol dependence.
The event run by Aspire Drug and Alcohol Service at the Hatfield Marina sees contestants work together in teams of eight to 10 people and compete in Gladiator-style events and obstacle courses.

As well as the games, health professionals were on hand to offer help and advice, along with motivational speakers.
And it wouldn't be complete without a colour run...

A grandmother who collapsed at an Asda store in Barnsley is recovering after being given life-saving first aid by supermarket staff.
Gail Tindall, 72, had been shopping with her daughter when she collapsed and stopped breathing at the checkouts.

Kate Tindall was shopping with her two-year-old daughter when her mum Gail Tindall collapsed near the checkouts.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of Rotherham man Craig Nelson.
A 41-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of murder and are in custody being questioned by officers.
Mr Nelson, also known as Craig Preston, 34, from Wath-Upon-Dearne, was found dead on Monday at Woodhead Tunnels on the moors above the A628.
