Clean Bandit have '30 to 40' tracks for new album

Clean Bandit say they have "30 to 40" finished tracks for their next album, including several collaborations with dancehall star Sean Paul.
"There's a lot of stuff that you will recognise from the vibe of the first album," said Grace Chatto from the band.
"But I think all the songs are so different from each other."
They have also worked with other vocalists such as Swedish singer Zara Larsson and last year's X Factor winner Louisa Johnson - who sings on their latest track Tears.
Following the huge success of their hit track Rather Be, the band say "it has put us in the position where people answer the phone to us more, but they aren't really calling us".
"We kind of work out what kind of voice will work for each track."

Musicians Rita Ora, Jamie Cullum and Noisettes frontwoman Shinghai Shoniwa have been sharing stories about their refugee roots as part of a new charity campaign aiming to highlight the contribution refugees and their families can make to modern society.
In the video, singer Ora reveals: "I'm a refugee... When I was just one years old my family fled my country Kosovo because a war had broken out."
She adds: "Now my mother's a psychiatrist and she works for the NHS, I have a business and my dad has a business."
They join the likes of comedian Ben Elton, Bella Freud and Help Refugees co-founder and Radio X DJ Lliana Bird for the campaign "we've got refugenes".
Well, Rebecca - at the ripe old age of 19 - is back with a new single and video.
It's called The Great Divide.
She was just 13 when she released the self-funded Friday which went viral and has, to date, been viewed just shy of 100m times.
She told Billboard the new track should prove her critics wrong, adding: "There are some of you I've seen stick with me for four or five years now and you've always been so excited and so patient with me".
Pixies release first video from forthcoming new album

Pixies, featuring new bassist Paz Lenchantin, have released the promo for Tenement Song, the first video from their album Head Carrier, which is due out on 30 September.
The animated video follows a journey through a tenement block on the brink of demolition and is pretty unsettling.
You can watch it here, but be warned, there are a couple of slightly rude bits.
The band, led by singer Black Francis, will play a series of UK dates starting in London on 28 November.
Fifth Harmony's Camila Cabello leaves gig due to anxiety

Fifth Harmony's Camila Cabello had to leave their Missouri concert early on Friday night after suffering a bout of anxiety.
Cabello (pictured second from right) made an abrupt exit from the stage in the middle of the show, for what bandmates explained was a wardrobe malfunction, and she never returned.
The rest of Fifth Harmony performed their remaining seven songs as a quartet, including their hit Work From Home, according to the St Louis Post-Dispatch.
Cabello - who has admitted suffering anxiety in the past - later explained her absence in a Snapchat video telling fans:
"Hi Missouri, sorry I couldn't finish the set last night. Was having too much anxiety and couldn't finish it… I'm truly sorry."
But having also tweeted after the show, "just wanna sleep for 3 days", she last night thanked fans in Dallas where the tour continued...
Is your cat more of a Radiohead cat or a Spice Girls cat? Maybe they're not much of a music lover at all - but maybe that's because there hasn't been an album of tracks composed especially for them.
Until now.
Universal Music is releasing Music for Cats next month, featuring five cat-friendly compositions written especially for felines. We kid you not.
Written by David Teie, a cellist with America’s National Symphony Orchestra, the album has apparently been "scientifically proven" to enrich the lives of cats and provide a calming influence.
The collection of cat-centric sounds and classical music caught Universal's eye after a crowd-funding campaign on Kickstarter earned hundreds of thousands of dollars of funding and sold more than 10,000 copies.
According to the press release, the 9.2 million cats in the UK alone make it "an enormous untapped music market."
And Teie himself says: “A hundred years from now people will have to be taught that music was once only for humans."
Music for Cats will be released on 28 October - one to put on the kitty's Christmas list for sure...

Boy George fronts 1970s documentary for the BBC
Boy George has taken a trip down memory lane for a new BBC Two documentary looking back at his formative years in the 1970s.
The Culture Club singer will present Boy George’s 1970s: Save Me from Suburbia as part of the My Generation season's celebration of the decade.
“I think of the ‘70s as being this glorious decade where I discovered who I was and discovered all these amazing things… punk rock, electro music, fashion, all of that," says the singer, who was known at the time by his real name George O'Dowd.

“When I tell people my first point of entry into youth subculture was via skinheads they look somewhat confused, not understanding I'm talking about the fashion version not the fascist version," said Letts.
"I hope my film goes some way to clarifying what was the UK's first real multi-cultural movement.”
And 6 Music will travel back to 1979 for the day on Friday 14 October to imagine what the station might have sounded like if it had been on air that day.

Singer and actress Barbra Streisand has scored a record 11th US number one album with Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway.
Babs now has more chart toppers than any other female artist, her closest rival being Madonna on a meagre (by comparison) eight.
She also overtakes Elvis Presley, who has 10 (what a loser), to tie with Bruce Springsteen.
The album sees Streisand duet with the likes of Antonio Banderas, Anne Hathaway and Jamie Foxx.
Emeli Sandé's camp have sprung into action as they gear up for the release of her eagerly-awaited second album, announcing first single Hurts will be out on 16 September.
The press release calls it an "uplifting ballad brimming with heart and soul" which "manages to embody both raw pain and joyful redemption".
The singer also shared this moody teaser on her website and Instagram this morning...
The Brit Award-winning singer's debut Our Version of Events was the best-selling album of 2012 in the UK.

Peckham car park plays host to the Proms

The BBC Proms decamped from the Royal Albert Hall to a Peckham car park on Saturday for a prom with a difference.

Radiohead share fan-made Daydreaming vignettes
Mercury Prize nominees Radiohead have shared a couple of fan-made short films to accompany a short instrumental piece from their track Daydreaming.
In July, the band asked fans to submit a one-minute clip to be part of the next music video from their album A Moon Shaped Pool.
Music manager Jerry Heller - who helped launch the career of N.W.A - died at the weekend following a car accident in California.
His cousin, Gary Ballen, said Heller died on Friday night after suffering a heart attack while driving earlier in the day.
Heller co-founded Ruthless Records with rapper Eazy-E, which released N.W.A's seminal album Straight Outta Compton in 1988.
He was played by actor Paul Giamatti in the hit film of the same name earlier this year.
Heller had sued the film's producers, including Ice Cube and Dr Dre, for more than $100m, claiming it portrayed him as a villain.
"It made him look bad, like he stole money from (Eazy) or something, which never happened,'' Ballen said following Heller's death.
"It really stressed him out having to deal with all this stuff."
Heller started his career in the music industry as an agent and promoter, working with artists like Creedence Clearwater Revival, Marvin Gaye, The Who and Black Sabbath in the Sixties and Seventies.
Today would have been Freddie Mercury's 70th birthday and, as one of a host of celebrations, Queen's Brian May has revealed an asteroid has been named after the late singer, in recognition of his "outstanding influence in the world".
"I’m happy to be able to announce that the International Astronomical Union's Minor Planet Center has today designated Asteroid 17473, discovered 1991, in Freddie’s name, timed to honour his 70th Birthday," said May in a video message.
"Henceforth this object will be known as Asteroid 17473 Freddiemercury."
He also showed off the "certificate of adoption" and revealed that the asteroid is located "in the main Asteroid Belt, out between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, and is about 3 and a half km across."
