An artist has been commissioned to turn Drypool Bridge into a work of art in time for Hull's year as City of Culture.
Artist Sarah Daniels has created a brief inspired by the work of John Venn, the 19th century mathematician and philosopher, who was born in Hull’s Drypool ward.
It will reflect the city’s links with the internationally-renowned Venn Diagram.

People in Northern Lincolnshire do not want mayor plans

People in northern Lincolnshire say they do not want one mayor for Greater Lincolnshire.
Ten councils in the area from the Humber to the Wash will decide whether to combine to form one authority in the hope of then becoming more devolved from London.
But after a consultation local people said they didn't want a mayor.
The Leader of Lincolnshire County Council Martin Hill says they'll now look at how plans can be adapted.

Hull City's start to the season, together with that of Middlesbrough and Burnley is the best made by promoted sides since the first season of the Premier League.
Between them they've accumulated 13 points, with The Tigers winning their opening two games.
Caretaker manager Mike Phelan hopes their results will help in his recruitment drive before the transfer window shuts.

Twins named after Hull FC's Gareth Ellis and Scott Taylor

A pair of newborn twins have been named after two players of a Wembley-bound rugby league club.
Ellis and Taylor Welburn were born at 05:20 BST in Barnsley Hospital after mum, Rachel Carr, was moved from Hull.
The boys were named after Gareth Ellis, captain of Hull FC, and fellow forward Scott Taylor.
The twin's father, Lee Wellburn, 31, from Hull, said he was delighted the boys had arrived to allow him to attend Saturday's cup final.

Police seek relatives after death of man in Cleethorpes

Police want to trace relatives of a man who died in Cleethorpes yesterday.
John Baker, aged 70, was taken ill at an Isaac’s Hill guest house around 02:00 BST.
He died at the scene and the circumstances are not being treated as suspicious.

It's part of £30m worth of service reductions which the authority says it has to make by 2020.

Grimsby fish supplier Icelandic Seachill has announced it will make 86 redundancies from its workforce.
A consultation was launched after Marks & Spencers decided to use another supplier.
The company has confirmed it will close the Icelandic Seachill Deli by March 2017 and transfer production.
Icelandic Seachill say they appreciate its a difficult time for their employees but they still remain in a strong position.

There are no art galleries in Grimsby and only one museum.
Great Grimsby MP Melanie Onn has also called for the town to benefit from Hull's City of Culture Year.
