She posted on Facebook and Instagram that she has four virtual reality videos ready for the exhibition and will be adding one in each city it goes to.

She said she hopes to complete her album this year "choosing various warehouses and galleries that exhibit work from all disciplines".

And she waxed lyrical about Virtual Reality (VR).

Quote Message: I am very happy with being the pop musician I am and feel VR is a natural continuity of the pop video. Technology is enabling women to work outside the already formed hierarchical systems. The laptop arriving 1999 gave me a personal studio to make Vespertine, the touchscreen 2006 helped me map my own idiosyncratic musicology outside the classical canon and reconnect it with nature and make Biophilia. VR is helping make a new stage free of politics where sound and vision is swirling free in 360 fully liberated.
Quote Message: I appreciate that your curiosity is still there after all these years, [I] don't take it for granted and thank my courageous team.

The exhibition runs from 1 September until 23 October.

In a teaser posted on Facebook by ATTN he said they hoped to reach millennials the same way the song reached listeners 13 years ago.

“Millennials are powerful. I don’t think they realise just how powerful they are... I hope this song inspires the millennials to go all out, scream from the tallest mountain, care like your freedom depends on it. Pay attention like that is at risk.”

  7. Ozzy Osbourne says there'll be no going back for Black Sabbath

    Rolling Stone magazine

    Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne has said the final date of the Black Sabbath tour in Birmingham next year will "definitely" be the end for the band.

He told Rolling Stone the band were having a blast but they wanted to end on a high...

Quote Message: We're not going to re-form after five years and say, 'Because of public demand...' Black Sabbath has been up and down and 'round the mulberry bush so many times. It's good to end it on an up note.

He said he didn't know whether he would be trying to get original drummer Bill Ward back for the last date.

"Every time I reach out to Bill I get yelled at for something," he said.

But after the end of Black Sabbath he said he has no plans to retire...

Quote Message: I'm going to continue solo. I don't know if I want to tour extensively much more, but I will still keep my fingers in the pie. As for singing Crazy Train at 75, we'll see.

He also spoke about filming a History Channel series with his son Jack where they visit historical sites around the world.

For Ozzy & Jack's World Detour he returned to The Alamo where he was infamously arrested back in 1982 and said he faced "a riot" on his return.

You can read more of his interview here - but be warned the language is pretty sweary.

Snippets from others are up on Flipbook Music's site and there is also a documentary promised, which they claim will allow viewers to see Sam "emerge from a 'teenage wannabe' to a 'ready-to-be' pop star and informed person".

There's no word from Sam Smith on what he thinks about this yet, but you can check out the video for Momentarily Mine below...

  15. Blurred Lines appeal gets support from 200 musicians

    The Hollywood Reporter

    Pharrell Williams, Robin Thicke, TI

Musicians from R Kelly to Hans Zimmer, Jennifer Hudson to members of Fall Out Boy are backing an appeal against the Blurred Lines verdict, calling the copyright infringement case "very dangerous to the music community".

Pharrell Williams, Robin Thicke and rapper TI (aka Clifford Harris Jr) recently launched a bid to overturn the $5.3m (£4.03m) final judgement, which accused them of ripping off Marvin Gaye's 1977 track Got to Give It Up on their hit Blurred Lines.

Now 212 artists have filed what's called an amicus brief with the Court of Appeals, including Earth, Wind & Fire, members of Linkin Park, The Black Crowes, Danger Mouse (aka Brian Burton) and John Oates of Hall & Oates.

Acting as "friends" or "amici" they warn:

Quote Message: The verdict in this case threatens to punish songwriters for creating new music that is inspired by prior works. All music shares inspiration from prior musical works, especially within a particular musical genre. By eliminating any meaningful standard for drawing the line between permissible inspiration and unlawful copying, the judgement is certain to stifle creativity and impede the creative process. The law should provide clearer rules so that songwriters can know when the line is crossed, or at least where the line is.

They add this case is "unique" because the two tracks "do not have similar melodies; the two songs do not even share a single melodic phrase."

They suspect the jury perceived similarity in the overall "feel" or "groove" and point out that Gaye himself was heavily influenced by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Smokey Robinson and James Brown.

  16. Selena Gomez is taking time off

    Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez says she is taking some time off to deal with "anxiety, panic attacks and depression," which are a side effect of her lupus diagnosis.

She revealed last year that she was being treated for the disease which affects the body's immune system.

The 24-year-old says she needs time out to face her health issues "head on" in a statement to People magazine:

Quote Message: As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways. I've discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges. I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off.
Quote Message: Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues.

It's not clear what this means for her Revival world tour, which she is currently in the middle of. She is due to head to the UK in November.
