Barbara Streisand pulled out all the stops for a hometown show in Brooklyn, New York last night - bringing actors Jamie Foxx and Patrick Wilson out for duets. 

She and Foxx performed Climb Every Mountain from The Sound of Music (and her new album ENCORE: Movie Partners Sing Broadway) which one fan has kindly posted on YouTube:

She and Broadway veteran Wilson took on Loving You, and Wilson's mother in law was certainly impressed, according to his wife:   

Ahead of the release of a new Jack White collection, Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016, next month, the musician has shared a previously unheard track by The White Stripes. 

City Lights is one of 26 songs on the double album due on 9 September, which features alternative versions, mixes and unreleased recordings from The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and White's solo career. 

It was originally written for 2005 album Get Behind Me Satan but was only finished in 2016 as White had forgotten about it.

West London-based R&B trio WSTRN have shared the video for their new release A List.

It sees the lads sing to various lovely ladies in what looks like their own Caribbean beachside bar (but could very well have been filmed in Brighton for all we know).

The band came joint fifth in the BBC's Sound of 2016 poll earlier this year.

WSTRN are currently in the studio recording their debut album – set for release next year.

Leonard Cohen, 82, has announced he's releasing a new album You Want It Darker this autumn, produced by his son Adam Cohen. 

The follow up to 2014's Popular Problems contains nine "haunting new songs", according to his label, with the "lucky few" who've already heard it branding it "a masterpiece". 

A bit of the title track has already debuted during a pretty risque erotic asphyxiation scene in Season 3 of Peaky Blinders.

Fresh off the back of his number one album in the UK, the preternaturally youthful Rick Astley has played his first show in the US for 27 years.*

That date, fact fans, was 1989 - the same year Taylor Swift was born.

He performed at The Box in New York, singing songs from his recent album 50 as well as covers of Uptown Funk and, of course, Never Gonna Give You Up.

* He played a Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2008, but just performed a single song.

The family of late singer Christina Grimmie, who was killed by a gunman in Florida in June, have shared the first in a series of music videos to accompany her four-song EP Side A. 

The video for opening song Snow White sees her in the character of Jessica Blue as she looks to her friends for advice. 

Grimmie was a contestant on The Voice in the US in 2012 and had accumulated many fans through her films on YouTube. 

A new video from Grimmie's The Ballad of Jessica Blue series - which she was working on before her death - will premiere on Billboard every week this month.    

If you haven't already voted, you now have less than 10 hours to vote for which album you would like to see guaranteed a place in the final six albums which could win this year's Mercury Prize.

Yesterday we shared the new Slaves track Spit it Out, which was Annie Mac's Hottest Record on Radio 1..

Today we can bring you more details of their forthcoming second album - including the fact it's got Mike D of Beastie Boys fame on it. 

The follow up to their Mercury Prize-nominated debut Are You Satisfied? will be called Take Control and will be released on 30 September. 

Mike D has revealed why he wanted to work with Kent duo Isaac Holman and Laurie Vincent.

"I feel right now the world needs an album like this," he said.

"Something that is more raw, more alive and less polished. I was impressed with the band’s strong point of view. They actually speak their minds about social topics."

He added: "The initial conversation I had with Laurie... There were so many influences he mentioned that I love - from the Gang of Four to The Cramps to The Damned to Public Image Ltd to The Slits and on and on. 

"All records that I truly loved and I couldn't believe he knew all of them so well for a person his age."

In May this year, Elvis Presley's home Graceland welcomed its 20 millionth visitor, but it seems officials at the tourist attraction are aiming even higher.

They have announced a new 200,000-square-foot entertainment complex is going to be built across the street.

The $45m (£35m) complex will include exhibits highlighting the King's life and career in music and film. 

The complex is part of a $137m (£106m) expansion including the construction of a 450-room hotel imaginatively called The Guest House at Graceland. 

It is set to be completed in the spring of next year on the 40th anniversary of his death.

After the huge success of Carpool Karaoke, it seems James Corden and his team at the Late Late Show are onto a winner with their musical formats, having landed a second spin-off show - this time for their rap battle segment Drop the Mic. 

Celebs including Anne Hathaway, Cara Delevingne, David Schwimmer and Rebel Wilson have already taken on Corden in some epic rap battles. 

Producers "hope to create some really memorable television" with the 16-episode series which will premiere next year.

Comedian Kevin Hart has signed a deal with Motown Records to release an album under his rapper alter-ego, Chocolate Droppa.

In an Instagram post, which is a bit too sweary to put up here now, he warns rappers including Drake, Future, and Jay Z: "If you're a rapper I suggest you run because I'm about to come for all of you suckas."

Big words from a man who is 5ft 4in.

While we're not entirely convinced Florence Welch has spent her summer so far inside playing Final Fantasy XV, we are very much in favour of the beautiful tracks Florence and the Machine have recorded for the video game's soundtrack. 

The singer shared three of them this morning, including brand new tracks Too Much Is Never Enough and I Will Be.

"In some ways the landscape of final fantasy and my own internal landscape seemed to fit quite well," says Flo.

"It's mythical and beautiful and epic."

The singer's revealed she was inspired to try her hand at composing for a video game after hearing a special radio programme all about it:

The game's out on 30 September but the EP - Songs from Final Fantasy XV is available to buy and stream today.

It also features an orchestral cover of Stand By Me, which featured in the Final Fantasy advert earlier this year, and which Florence called "one of the greatest songs of all time" in this behind the scenes video...

On Wednesday's Music News LIVE, we told you about an arrest warrant that had been issued for rapper Tyga over a dispute with a former landlord.

After a day or so of being an outlaw Tyga has settled the dispute over money owed for renting a property in Malibu.

The Grammy-nominated artist had failed to pay a $480,000 (£370,000) judgement against him for back rent and damage at the mansion he lived in during 2011.

However, the lawyer acting for the owner said a confidential settlement had been reached "to the mutual satisfaction of the parties." 

Tyga had apparently originally claimed poverty over the bill until the landlord had pointed to media reports he had bought his girlfriend, reality TV star Kylie Jenner, a $200,000 (£154,000) car for her birthday. 

Charli XCX has made her directorial debut for the new video for south London R&B singer Raye.

I,U, Us lets the teenage newcomer and her crew show off their skills at an ice skating rink. 

Speaking to The Fader, Charli said: "When RAYE asked me to direct this video I was so down.

"She’s one of my favourite people to collaborate with right now. She’s a total star and an amazing subject to work with. I love her and really enjoyed making this video with her.” 

The teenage singer's new EP Second has just been released and features collaborations with Stormzy and Charli.

This is a strange one for sure but Drake's musician father has apparently landed a deal as an R&B crooner.

According to TMZ, Dennis Graham - who worked as a drummer for Jerry Lee Lewis - has been working with Jamie Iovine, the son of legendary music producer Jimmy Iovine on his record.

The website has a clip of his first track off an R&B album - Kinda Crazy.

The track will apparently be out later this month.

Jamie Cullum presented an evening of late-night jazz at the BBC Proms on Thursday night with performances from BBC Introducing artists, the Heritage Orchestra and conductor Jules Buckley.

It was his first time back at the Proms since a sold out show in 2010. 

The BBC Proms team even handed over control of their Instagram account to the jazz singer and Radio 2 presenter, who definitely made the most of it.

He covered songs including The Weeknd’s Can’t Feel My Face and closed with a massive singalong to The Beach Boys' God Only Knows.

OneRepublic have shared new single Kids - the second from their forthcoming new album.

The track's available to buy and stream on Apple and Spotify and is Radio 1's Track of the Day. 

Frontman Ryan Tedder chatted to Grimmy this morning as the track got its first play, and he told him it was recorded all around the world:

We're in Iceland next week for a couple of days and I have to finish the vocals, the last two songs on the album that don't have my final vocals. It's fair to say Grammy-winner Ryan has a knack for writing a pop hit, having also written and produced hits for the likes of Taylor Swift, Adele, Beyoncé, U2, Ellie Goulding and Maroon 5. Grimmy asked him to share his secret:

I was talking to Ed Sheeran a few weeks ago, we were out in Suffolk writing, we're in the middle of nowhere, and [I asked] 'how did you end up writing all these huge records?' And he had the same exact kind of upbringing. When you're in the middle of nowhere and you don't have a tonne of distractions, your escape is music. My top 40 station was my only escape. When there's less to do, what do you do? You write songs.
