An artist has been commissioned to turn Drypool Bridge into a work of art in time for Hull's year as City of Culture.

Artist Sarah Daniels has created a brief inspired by the work of John Venn, the 19th century mathematician and philosopher, who was born in Hull’s Drypool ward.

It will reflect the city’s links with the internationally-renowned Venn Diagram.

Quote Message: As Drypool Bridge was due to be painted this year, we took the opportunity to ask local artists to submit their ideas for a visually striking design for the local landmark. The work will be completed as Hull gets ready to host the UK City of Culture 2017 celebrations.” from Martin Mancey Hull City Council
