  2. Weather: Staying dry this evening, possible thunderstorms tonight

    Tonight will start dry with clear spells allowing a few mist or fog patches to form, but cloud will increase from the south with one or two thunderstorms possible later. 

    A fresher night for sleeping, with temperatures down to 11C (52F).

    There will be some hazy sunshine in places on Saturday, but showers and thunderstorms will tend to merge into longer spells of rain, giving the risk of some local flooding. 

    Feeling quite humid, with temperatures potentially as high as 25C (77F).

  3. Whitlock busts his moves all over the country

    It's certainly been a busy week for double gold winning Olympian Max Whitlock. 

    Not content with winning three medals at the Rio Olympics, since he arrived back home on Tuesday he's been busting his moves all over the country.

  4. Travel: A133 slow leaving Clacton

    There's very slow traffic on the A133 leaving Clacton as thousands of people head home from today's airshow. 

    Queues are currently back to the Colchester Road junction in Weeley.

  7. Camber Sands death 'one of many' family have experienced

    Continuing his conversation with BBC Essex, the brother-in-law of Inthushan Sriskantharaja, who drowned at Camber Sands, said the 23-year-old's death was one of many the family had experienced in recent years.

  8. Tribute to 'nice guy' who drowned during Camber Sands trip

    The brother-in-law of a Grays man who drowned with a group of friends on a beach in Camber Sands has described him as a "funny man".

    Inthushan Sriskantharasa, 23, of Chadwell Road, was one of five people who died on a day trip on Wednesday.

    "He was always playing with my daughter," Sivasothy Bijayaruba told BBC Essex. 

    "He just loved laughing and joking, he was just a nice guy."

  11. Shrine to Essex man who died during Camber Sands trip

    The family of Inthushan Sriskantharaja, who died during a trip to Camber Sands in East Sussex, have set up a shrine to him at their home in Essex.

    His brother-in-law Sivasothy Bijayaruba, nine-year-old niece Jananthy and sister Kirushananthy are shown in the photograph.

  12. Essex man was one of five who died on East Sussex beach

    A man from Grays has been named as one of the men who died on a beach in East Sussex. 

    Inthushan Sriskantharasa, 23, of Chadwell Road, was one of five people who died on a day trip to Camber Sands near Rye.   

    The group drowned after getting trapped by a combination currents, slippery rocks and sand.

    The Lancaster Bomber was unable to take part in the Battle of Britain memorial flight due to an engine problem.
