Grantham and Stamford MP Nick Boles has been reacting to the news that a firm in his constituency has placed hundreds of jobs at risk.
Totemic is one of Grantham's largest private-sector employers and says up to 500 jobs are under threat because of changes in market conditions.
Mr Boles told the BBC: "It is very disappointing that Totemic is having to contemplate making redundancies.
"I have been working very closely with senior management in the last two years to help them secure changes in the regulation of the debt advice and debt management sector."
