  1. Four things that happened in West Yorkshire today

    Nick Wilmshurst

    BBC Local Live, Leeds

That's it from me for today, I'll be back again tomorrow from 08:00 with more news, travel, weather and sport.

Before I go, here are four things you may have missed from today...

    1. A mysterious hole opened up in Wakefield. We do love a mystery.
    2. But then we did some digging (geddit?) and it wasn't a mystery anymore.
    3. Tutankhamun, Ramses I, Neferneferuaten and Steve Ward from Leeds. They all love a pyramid...
    4. You steal one, you get one free. The car thief who was after a free ride.

    See you tomorrow!

    Have you seen Arslaan Farooq?

    West Yorkshire Police

West Yorkshire Police would like to speak to him about burglaries in Shipley on 4 September and Ilkley on 4 April.

He is not thought to pose a risk to the public, but anyone who sees him is advised not to approach him and call police on 101.

  4. Leeds is one of 'best places to live and work' for foreigners

It's claimed Leeds is one of the best places for people from other countries to live and work.

    Leeds Skyline

In a survey for HSBC, more than half of expats in Leeds have said their quality of life is better than at home.

The research suggests the UK's one of the best destinations in the world ambitious people can move to - to help their careers.

Have you ever heard comedian Mark Steel's series on Radio 4?

It's great. Basically he visits various towns around the country, learns a bit about them and then records a half hour show around his observations.

Well, tonight at 18:30 his programme comes from Hebden Bridge! You'll be able to hear the programme live or recorded here.

The third - The Green dementia care home in Seacroft - will be converted in to a recovery home for NHS patients, but will no longer provide dementia services.

  9. Travel update: A63 closed in Hambleton

    BBC Travel

If you're heading out on the A63, be warned that it's completely closed in Hambleton near Selby. There are plenty of queues in both directions between the Lowfield Road junction and the Fox Lane junction.

It's all down to an accident and an overturned car.

  10. Two police officers sacked for 'behaving inappropriately'

Two West Yorkshire Police officers have been sacked for behaving inappropriately towards young women.

    Police officers

The officers who worked in Calderdale had given the teenagers a lift home. They've now been dismissed - following a misconduct hearing.

PC Dominic Hibbin and PC Richard Hall had given the 18 and 19-year-old a lift home while on duty. Instead of just dropping them off, they stayed with them for around half an hour.

At the misconduct hearing, it was claimed they'd made inappropriate comments towards the women and touched one of them.

PC Hibbin then went back to the property and the following day misused police computers to look up official records of what had happened.

  11. Halifax Town Hall could be opened up to the public for events

The future of Halifax town hall is being discussed today and it could mean that you could soon have a pint in there.

    Halifax Town Hall

Councillors in Calderdale will be discussing new ways of using the building at a meeting, saying they want to find ways of getting more people into the building.

They could include the staging of exhibitions, craft fairs, art sales and even beer festivals while it may also become licensed as a wedding venue.

  12. Travel update: Lane closed M621 westbound J1

We've got some queuing traffic on the M621 westbound between J1 (A6110 Beeston) and M62 (J27 Gildersome), because of a broken down vehicle.

You can expect a small delay getting on the M62, this is just before J1...

  13. Complaints about Yorkshire Water increase

Complaints about Yorkshire Water have gone up by more than 11% over the last year according to a new report from the Consumer Council for Water.

The utility company received the second highest number of complaints in England and Wales about its sewer network.

The report says sewers struggled to contend with the heavy and persistent winter storms and flooding.
