Frankie Wainman Jnr, from Silsden, was crowned world champion last weekend in Coventry.

Frankie, who crafts all his cars at his garage, has been racing stock cars for more than 30 years and is one of the most decorated drivers in the sport.
His talent also runs in the family as his daughter, 20-year-old Phoebe Wainman picked up the V8 British title earlier this summer on the same night as her father!

The Civil Aviation Authority is deciding whether or not to grant a licence to allow Leeds East airport at Church Fenton to operate business class flights.
It wants to operate services to destinations including Faro and Cannes.

Man cut free from Lorry on waste management site
A man's been cut free from a truck after a crash involving two lorries at a landfill site in Huddersfield.

The collision at Bradley Park happened just after 10:00 this morning. The BBC understands one of the drivers had a seizure behind the wheel just before the crash.
The fire service says a Technical Rescue Unit from Cleckheaton freed one of the drivers who was then taken to hospital.

Two people arrested in West Yorkshire on suspicion of explosives offences have been bailed by police.

Archive film of Huddersfield on show tonight
Films of Huddersfield from years gone by will are being shown in the town tonight as the Yorkshire Film archive screens part of its collection.

They'll include footage of the work of Brook Motors, David Brown tractors and Bamforths postcards in Holmfirth, while a compilation of archive footage will also depict Huddersfield's old Market Hall and other lost buildings.
The screening's taking place in Huddersfield Town Hall from 19:30.
