Former Everton player enjoys best man speech stunt
The best man stole the show at the wedding of former Everton, Blackpool and Fleetwood footballer Jamie Milligan.

Milligan married his partner Mandy at the Villa Hotel in Wrea Green, Lancashire, on 13 August.

Unclaimed bikes face the crusher
Merseyside Police say some of the bikes collected in yesterday's off-road haul have been reunited with their rightful owners.
'Under pressure' hospital trust asks for help to free up beds
The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Trust is asking patients' relatives to "prioritise" taking family members out of hospital if they are ready to be discharged.

The trust said it is under "significant and sustained pressures" following a difficult summer and is asking people to only use A&E if they "really need it" and to "support" the discharge of patients.
"If your loved one is ready to be discharged, as they no longer require the specialist care our teams provide, we ask that you prioritise supporting their discharge", a trust statement said.
Littlewoods boss says mobile 'is where the action is'
Rooney, 30, made his 116th appearance for England in Sunday's World Cup qualifying victory over Slovakia.
"I don't think he's a striker anymore," said Shilton, who won 125 caps. "We are trying to fit him in, but he's not a midfield player for me. Never will be."

Chester's new cinema, due to open in 2019, will be operated by Picturehouse Cinemas, it has been announced.

It will be a part of the Northgate redevelopment, which will include new shops, restaurants, a hotel and market hall.
The city centre has been without a cinema for the last nine years, after the Odeon closed in 2007.

Inadequate Sefton care home introduces measures to 'improve standards'
Melling Acres, which is run by Parkcare Homes (No.2) Limited, provides specialist support and accommodation for up to 16 adults with complex needs associated with a learning disability or autism.
The CQC found people living at the home were not protected from abuse and found many mistakes dealing with medicine had not been reported.
A spokeswoman for Melling Acres home said: “We take this report extremely seriously.
"We have already introduced a series of measures to improve standards of care and safety, including increasing staffing levels, bringing in a new manager and a Registered Nurse to manage medicines, and ensuring all staff receive additional specialist training."

Freed from "the shackles of the catalogue", Littlewoods has benefited from the move to online shopping and in particular on mobile phones.
The company's owner, Shop Direct, which also owns fashion website Very.co.uk, has reported record profits.
It estimates that its customers - usually female - spend about four hours a day on their phones.

Liverpool Football Club has been given the all clear to open its new main stand this weekend.
The council's licensing committee has signed a safety certificate, ahead of the first home game of the season against Leicester.
A final inspection will be carried out tomorrow.

Emergency services were called to London Fields in Billinge, near St Helens on Sunday evening.
Police said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
History of Liverpool's Bluecoat revealed for 300th anniversary
New research has shed light on the architects of one of Liverpool's oldest city centre buildings.
Staff at the Bluecoat believe they have identified the builders as master mason Edward Litherland and engineer Thomas Steers.
The same duo are responsible for Liverpool's famous Old Dock and a number of other buildings around Liverpool.
The research is part of a series of events and celebrations to mark the building's 300th anniversary next year.
