  7. Football: Phelan to be made permanent?

    Some news for Hull City fans as the Hull Daily Mail are reporting that Mike Phelan is close to becoming their permanent manager.

    Two wins out of their first three Premier League games, which includes beating champions Leicester City, would not have done his chances any harm.

  8. Investigations continue after bodies found at house

    I'm outside the house on Bude Close, New Waltham where the bodies of a man aged 55 and a woman aged 46 have been found.

    Humberside Police say they are continuing investigations but are not looking for anyone else.

  11. 'My family don't quite understand it' - Peacock

    More on the news that former England captain Jamie Peacock is coming out of retirement to play for Hull KR for the rest of the season.

    In a statement on the club's website, Peacock says: "Although my family don't quite understand it, this feels like the right decision. The time has come for me to put my boots on again.

    "Physically, it may take me some time to get back up to speed, but I've been preparing as best I can and mentally I'm in a good place."

    Peacock, a multiple Super League, Challenge Cup and World Club Challenge winner who was crowned Man of Steel in 2003, could make his return against London Broncos on Sunday.

  12. Ex-England captain Peacock out of retirement to play for Hull KR

    Former England captain Jamie Peacock is coming out of retirement to play for Hull KR for the rest of the season, he has announced.

    Peacock, now 38, hung up his boots after helping Leeds to victory in last October's Grand Final and took up the role of head of rugby with the Robins.

    However, the Robins are fighting for their Super League survival and Peacock aims to help them through a late-season injury crisis. 

  13. Tennis: Kyle Edmund names in Davis Cup team

    Kyle Edmund has been named in the Davis Cup team to face Argentina in the semi final later this month.

    Andy Murray, Dan Evans, Jamie Murray and Dom Inglot have also been selected, with Evans chosen ahead of James Ward. Liam Broady will also be travelling as part of the team.

    A man and woman have been found dead at a house in New Waltham near Grimsby. 

    A 55-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman were found in the house on Bude Close in the early hours of this morning.

    Police have launched an investigation but say they are not looking for anyone else in connenction with the the deaths
