  2. Pence cancels

Republican vice-presidential candidate Mike Pence has cancelled a fundraising event in Ocean County, New Jersey, that was supposed to be held on Monday, according to US media.

Trump said in tonight's debate that he disagreed with a comment made about Russia by his running mate during the VP debate last week.

Pence on Saturday condemned the video of Trump making sexist remarks about women, saying "I do not condone his remarks and cannot defend them".

Scores of Republicans have deserted Trump after those remarks came to light.

But Pence did tweet-congratulate his boss following the debate saying: "Proud to stand with you as we Make America Great Again."

  5. Trump manager slips: 'Unless...'

Kellyanne Conway, Trump's campaign manager, appeared to slip up while talking to MSNBC's Chris Matthews.

Matthews asked: "So you’re with the campaign till the bitter end?"

"I’m with the campaign till the bitter end,” Conway responded. "Unless…"

After a dramatic pause, she appeared to recover.

"Who knows? But I'm sitting here as his campaign manager, I'm sitting here with you in the debate hall where he just performed beautifully."

“So you’re worried about more shoes dropping,” Matthews pressed.

“No, I didn’t say that," she said.

'"I’ve made a commitment”, she continued before declaring Trump won the debate.
