  2. Banks keeps a replica of her head in a box...

    Banks video still

We admit that headline might lead you to think Banks is a bit on the weird side, but the singer's actually been explaining what happened to the prosthetic head she had made in her image for her F With Myself video.

"I have it still," she told our reporter Mark Savage. "It smells weird because we lit it on fire, so I keep it in a box. But it's still mine!"

She also admits filming the video for the track off her new album The Altar, which sees her abusing a mannequin version of herself, was a strange experience...

Quote Message: It was weird! You only ever see a mirror image of yourself, so it was strange to see myself in 3D. But it was kind of therapeutic - especially hitting my own face, because it made me want to be really nice to myself. It was like seeing physically what I do to myself mentally sometimes.
Quote Message: My mum hated that video, because she hated seeing me slap my face around. But that means it's good, if your mum doesn't like something.

Read the full interview for more from the California singer - real name Jillian Banks - inlcuding how she learned to stand up for herself.

Shura has released a video for 311215, a hidden track on her debut album Nothing's Real.

The singer said the emotional stripped back song, which features the voices of her family, is about "fear of death, the death of my parents and, to a certain extent, my own."

The video is a simple image of a television showing nostalgic excerpts from Shura's childhood home videos.

She is currently supporting Tegan & Sara on their US tour.

  6. Garbage unveil new video for Magnetized

Garbage have shared the video for the second single off recent album Strange Little Birds, Magnetized.

It sees singer Shirley Manson - and her lip-synching young doppelganger - as mad-scientist types up to mischief in a lab.

Manson said the video was made in LA, "under the madcap direction of my next door neighbour Scott Stuckey", the creator of cult US kids TV show Pancake Mountain.

"We wanted to create an ode to the magic of science and the mysteries of love," she said.

A quick warning that it does contain a few close ups of eyeballs, just in case that kind of thing makes you feel queasy (or is that just us?), and a wee bit of blood...

  10. Robbie rubs Russians up the wrong way

    Robbie Williams

Robbie Williams has been accused of 'racism' over his new song Party Like A Russian.

It's the first single from his 11th studio album, Heavy Entertainment Show, which is due out on 4 November.

In a thick Russian accent, the track sees Robbie singing about drink, drugs, corruption and Russian dolls.

It also samples Dance Of The Knights by Russian composer, Sergey Prokofiev.

"There's 147 million people in Russia and I don't want to upset them in any way," said Robbie.

Might be a bit late for that Rob mate.

  13. More great goss from Bros's Goss (and Goss)

    Mark Savage

    Music reporter

    Bros

Back to that mahoosive reunion which will see twin brothers Matt and Luke Goss reunite on stage as Bros (scroll down for more details).

Singer Matt (the one with the hat) says he may resurrect some of the band's old stage outfits when they play the O2 next year.

"I've actually got some in the hotel right now," he said.  "My beautiful mum kept a lot of them safe for me. And it still fits, believe it or not.

"I've got one jacket that I wore at Wembley and then I went and saw the Rolling Stones in Kansas City and Ronnie Wood said, 'Matt can I wear your jacket?'

"And I just took it off there and then. I took my trousers off as well. Actually. I was naked in front of the Rolling Stones!"

Wood went out in front of the audience wearing the jacket, launching into Start Me Up as Matt watched from the side of the stage (possibly naked).

After the show, all of the Stones signed the coat and gave it back to a presumably now hypothermic Matt.

"I've never worn it since," he added.

The singer's performance is part of her exclusive new deal with US communications giant AT&T, who say the show is the "first of many events and experiences for fans".

It will be Swift's first major gig since her massive 1989 world tour wrapped up in December last year.

Gaga will then play the halftime show at the Super Bowl 51 at Houston's NRG Stadium on Sunday 5 February.

Twin brothers Matt and Luke Goss (but, sadly, not Craig "Ken" Logan) will play the O2 on 17 August next year. Tickets go on sale this Friday.

"This is something we've been trying to get together for 20 years," said Matt - who now has a solo residency in Las Vegas.

"I've always wanted it to happen in my heart," said Luke - who turned his attention to acting following the break up of the band.

"But it had to be the right time. It's a dream come true."

Hosting the press conference, TV presenter Emma Willis revealed she'd been a huge fan of the band in the 1980s.

When she got the call to work with the band, she said: "My inner 13-year-old broke out and collapsed on the floor, hyperventilating."

    Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen can now add bestselling author to his list of achievements, after his memoir Born to Run debuted at the top of the UK book chart - ending hit thriller The Girl on the Train's run at number one.

Figures from Nielsen BookScan show the Boss shifted 37,518 copies last week. The Girl on the Train and its film tie-in version (the movie starring Emily Blunt is out this weekend) were in second and third place in the Official UK Top 50, shifting 62,875 copies between them.
