Cardiff Half Marathon 2016 Highlights

Join Jason Mohammad for highlights of the 2016 Cardiff Half Marathon. With commentary from Stuart Storey and Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson.

Join Jason Mohammad for highlights of the 2016 Cardiff Half Marathon. Following the success of the World Half Marathon Championships held over the same course in March this year, a record breaking field of 23,000 entrants will take on the 13.1-mile course around the Welsh capital, the race now firmly established as the second biggest half marathon in the United Kingdom.

Starting in the shadow of the castle walls, the route takes in the sites of the city centre, the bay and Roath Park, before finishing in the Civic Centre. The strongest elite field ever assembled for this event featuring defending champion Ben Siwa will ensure a highly competitive men's race and likewise in the women's race, Kenya's Violah Jepchumba and Flomena Daniel could threaten the course record. Amongst the masses, there are thousands of stories from those running for their own particular personal reasons.

Presented by Jason Mohammad with reporters Christian Malcolm and Lowri Morgan and commentary from Stuart Storey and Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson.
