The return of Brazil's 'gig economy'

The 'gig economy' - people doing informal and temporary work - is not new in emerging markets like Brazil.

For decades, millions of people have been making ends meet by doing 'bicos' - which means 'gigs' in Portuguese.

When the economy was booming, more formal employment which increased by 25%.

But now recession is pushing many people back into the 'gig economy'.
