We're signing off now for the week, but we'll be back first thing on Monday morning.

Before we go, a reminder of some of the stories we've brought you today:

We'll leave you with this photograph of the sunset at Worlingworth, taken by BBC Weather Watcher "Doggy Daddy":

  2. Weather: Dry for most - turning cold

    Dan Holley

    BBC Look East weather

Dry for much of tonight with clear spells across the region, but cloud will increase with outbreaks of rain arriving from the west later.

Chilly initially with temperatures falling to 2C (36F), but turning milder later as the southerly winds strengthen.

    Weather map for Saturday

Saturday will be rather cloudy and breezy with outbreaks of rain for much of the day, turning drier but quite misty from the west later.

  3. Chief negotiator '70% confident' devolution will happen

    Andrew Sinclair

    BBC Look East political correspondent

The man who oversaw the devolution negotiations for Norfolk and Suffolk says he's "70% confident" that the final deal will be approved by local councils.

Under the plans the two counties will receive extra powers and money in return for having a directly-elected mayor.

Suffolk businessman Andy Wood told me he understood people's concerns, but said the deal was in both counties' best interests.

"This is a change to local government and a fundamental change to the way Norfolk and Suffolk has a relationship with central Government, so I think it quite healthy that we have this public debate," he said.

"But I hear people talking about poor connectivity, getting delayed on our roads and wanting to move us from a low wage, low productivity economy to something more vibrant.

"This could change and that's why residents should be supportive of this."

  5. Memorial plaque unveiled at former air base's control tower

A plaque has been unveiled at Martlesham Heath Control Tower, to commemorate those who served at the former Martlesham Heath air base between 1917 and 1963.

    Bob Dunnett and Martin Cook

Bob Dunnett, pictured left with Martin Cook, both from the Martlesham Heath Aviation Society, described the unveiling as "absolutely marvellous", saying it had been a "great day".

  6. Suffolk Lowland Search & Rescue on latest in hunt for Corrie

The chairman of Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue (SULSAR) Andy King says the team has searched further areas around Mildenhall and Barton Mills over the last couple of days, as they continue to look for missing RAF Honington gunner Corrie Mckeague.

    • A water rescue team waded much of the river from the A11 at Barton Mills to the gas pool in Mildenhall
    • Parts of the river that are too deep to wade were covered by boat
    • There will be further water and foot searches in the next few days, once equipment has been cleaned, decontaminated and recharged
    • The team said it still has a determination to return Corrie to his family and will continue to search whenever requested to do so by Suffolk Police

  7. Police go through 1,100 hours of CCTV footage in search for Corrie

Police say they have obtained 1,100 hours of CCTV footage from local authority, business and private individual sources as part of the investigation into the disappearance of RAF serviceman Corrie Mckeague, who hasn't been seen since the early hours of Saturday, 24 September.

    Corrie Mckeague

They say the footage has been "systematically viewed" but there remain no "positive sightings" of Corrie, who disappeared after a night out in Bury St Edmunds.

The footage has been sent for further detailed analysis, to ensure nothing has been missed.

Det Supt Katie Elliott said: "We have to keep an open mind as there is no key line of inquiry to take us in any one direction.

"Despite extensive searches, CCTV viewing, media appeals and many behind the scenes inquiries, we still do not have a lead which takes us forward."

Unfortunately, the category of My Best School Trip was won by Kirk Ella St Andrew’s Community Primary in Hull for their trip to Eskdale Youth Hostel.

The 350m (380yd) stretch of road, which is part of a £15m scheme, will provide access to the new Sybil Andrews Academy on Rougham Tower Avenue, as well as enabling the construction of 500 new homes, and opening up part of the Suffolk Business Park site.

When completed, the road will run from Skyliner Way to junction 45 of the A14.

Chris Starkie, managing director of the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, said: "Infrastructure projects like this are playing a vital role in opening up our region, both for local businesses and future investors, as we grow our dynamic economy."

  11. Rugby union: Bury need to make home advantage count - Hogg

    Brenner Woolley

    BBC Radio Suffolk sport

Bury St Edmunds director of rugby Gavin Hogg says it's essential his side builds on last weekend's win at Exmouth when they host Barnes in National League Two South tomorrow.

    Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club

That victory ended a run of four defeats, and Hogg is demanding a repeat performance.

"You lose a couple and you're suddenly back down in 13th or 14th place. You win a couple and you're up to 6th or 7th, so it's about us getting a run together," he said.

"We've two home games and we've got to target those as wins.

"That would give us three wins back-to-back which will certainly bring us out of the relegation zone and make things more comfortable."

  12. Knudsen added to Denmark squad

  14. Improvements at level crossing are 'absolutely brilliant news'

The announcement that lengthy delays at the Oulton Broad North level crossing should soon become a thing of the past, is "absolutely brilliant news", according to Lowestoft and Waveney Chamber of Commerce.

    Oulton Broad North level crossing

Spokesman James Reeder said: "I think this shows how people working together, and working hard for the community, can get a result."

He explained that the current system when the barriers come down means delays for drivers of about 3mins 25secs: "With this moving of the signal, 50m (55yds) away from the crossing, the train will be able to come into the station, passengers will be able to get off and on, then when it's ready to leave, the gateman will be able to lower the barrier.

"I believe they [Network Rail and Greater Anglia] can get it down to just over a minute - it's going to make a considerable difference."

  15. Knudsen added to Ipswich Town's international contingent

    Brenner Woolley

    BBC Radio Suffolk sport

He joins Christophe Berra (Scotland), Jonny Williams and Tom Lawrence (Wales), David McGoldrick (Republic of Ireland), Monty Patterson (New Zealand) and Andre Dozzell (England U18s) on international duty.

  17. Picture: Traffic queues on the A11

This was the scene earlier on the A11 - Emma Shawcross says it took her two hours and 30 minutes to get through the traffic between Thetford and the Mildenhall Fiveways roundabout.

Emma tells us the traffic had been intensified by the A11 being reduced to one lane approaching the roundabout, and drivers having to merge about half a mile earlier.

Further south along the A11, the southbound carriageway has reopened between Barton Mills and Red Lodge, following a collision just after midnight in which a woman died.

A 63-year-old man has been arrested in connection with that incident.
