Image released over Clay Cross bench 'incident'

Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to after a 21-year-old woman reported a man started touching her leg on a bench in Clay Cross on 25 October.
Plenty of cloud around this afternoon, and where the cloud is thick enough there could be some drizzle and a few light showers.

The only witness who gave evidence to the inquest in person was PC Matthew Lacey.
There were no witnesses to the accident, but PC Lacey said he believed that when Mr Mould ran to the back of the car, he either tripped or was knocked by the moving vehicle.
He was then trapped underneath and dragged for about four metres. He died from the effects of a crushed chest.

Buxton crash victim named

Police have named a man who was killed after being hit by a lorry in Buxton last Thursday, as 79-year-old Harry Higton.
Fairfield Road was closed for nearly four hours on Thursday evening as part of an investigation into the fatal crash.
The 40-year-old lorry driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Council removes traffic lights to end congestion

Everybody in Derby knows what a nuisance it can be to get in and out of Kingsway Retail Park.
Some shoppers have have reported being stuck in traffic for around an hour.
Now the council has removed traffic lights which they said were causing the congestion.
A report's been released by the city council.
Alton Towers staff to be made redundant

Alton Towers will be making 70 staff redundant following a review of the business in the aftermath of The Smiler rollercoaster crash.
The theme park employs 800 full-time staff and 1,500 seasonal workers.
Park operator Merlin Attractions was fined £5 million in September for a "catastrophic failure" of health and safety rules over the crash in June last year.
Alton Towers said a consultation was under way and the jobs would go ahead of the 2017 season.

Reds to replay Newport

Terry Kennedy's second-half equaliser earned Alfreton Town an FA Cup first-round replay against Newport County.
Josh Sheehan had given Graham Westley's League Two side a 65th-minute lead against National League North Alfreton.
They'll replay for a place in the second round at Rodney Parade tomorrow.
Locals want village pub to stay in the community

People in Holbrook village want to save The Spotted Cow to ensure it becomes part of the community again, as it has been unoccupied for two years.
But developer Ian McNair said if he doesn't get planning permission he'll appeal against the decision.
He said: "If the local community wanted to buy it they would probably have to raise £500,000, plus £250,000 to refurbish it.
"These figures I do not believe are achievable."
Sovereign coins stolen from house

A collection of gold sovereign coins has been stolen from a house in Allestree.
Police said burglars forced their way in to the property on Fairway Close on 23 September before taking jewelry and the coins, which were made in 1931.
