  3. What are the World Championships?

    The World Championships are arranged by global body FINA (Fédération Internationale de Natation) and take place every two years.

    This year’s event runs from 14-30 July in Budapest, Hungary. The schedule includes a variety of aquatic sports including diving, swimming, synchronised swimming, water polo, open water swimming and high diving.

    At the previous event, held in Kazan, Russia, GB came fifthin the medals table with 14 medals.
