Having a bad day? The funniest animal photos of the year will cheer you up

A fox flying headfirst into snow, a "laughing" zebra and bird going to the loo on a buffalo's head are all up for comedy wildlife photo of the year.

The contest helps promote and raise money for wildlife charity, Born Free Foundation.

There are 40 photos in total with the winner announced in November.

Here are some of our favourites from this year's batch.
