    The good news is that Ruskin Avenue is now back to normal after an accident earlier in the day.

    The bad new is that there's a lot of congestion in the usual places as people try to head home for the weekend.

  4. Billinghay incident: What we know

    • Armed police officers and a police helicopter responded to an incident on Mill Close in Billinghay.
    • They were responding to a report a man was in possession of a firearm.
    • Two men who were in a vehicle have been arrested, one attempted to flee and the car has since been towed.
    • Police are continuing to search a number of properties.
    • The armed response team and helicopter have now left the scene.

  5. Could Brexit impact the region's tourism industry?

    It's thought that Britain's vote to leave the European Union may have had a positive impact on our region's tourism industry. 

    The value of the pound has fallen since the referendum in June, leading some people to choose to holiday in the UK instead of heading abroad. 

    Sir Gary Verity from tourist group Welcome to Yorkshire says the indications are that bookings have been on the up.

  6. Almost 70 years on - the man behind Riley's famous crisps returns

    The man who helped set up the famous Riley's Crisps factory in Scunthorpe has returned to the factory today almost 70 years after it first opened. 

    The factory, which is now owned by Golden Wonder, invited 94 year old Biff Riley back to see how it's changed since 1947.

  7. A151 crash now fatal say Police

     A young motorist has died from the injuries he sustained in a road accident in south Lincolnshire last weekend. 

    The man's MG sports car left the road and overturned in Corby Glen last Sunday afternoon. 

    The police are appealing for witnesses. 

  8. Second man arrested in Billinghay incident

    Police say a second person has been arrested after armed police and a helicopter were called to the village of Billinghay near Sleaford. 

    They've also released a more detailed statement on the incident.

    Quote Message: We received reports that a man was in possession of a firearm so we deployed an armed response to contain the suspect. We managed to detain the man from a vehicle and arrest him. There was a second man who fled from the car but he has also since been arrested.
