Calls to Childline rise over 'creepy clown' fears

Childline says it has received 120 calls in the past week from children frightened by people dressing up as "creepy clowns".
A 14-year-old described being chased by a clown while walking with his brother. "My little brother has not stopped crying, and I am really worried about him," he told the helpline.
And a 12-year-old said he had heard about clowns in his area with knives.

As South Yorkshire Police come to the end of their third week of digging on Kos, let's take a look back at what they've found so far.
A jury of seven women and five men took just two hours to clear Ched Evans of rape following a two-week trial.
The footballer played for Sheffield United at the time of the incident, in May 2011.
There were gasps and cries in the public gallery when the verdict was read out, with members of Mr Evans's group, including his fiancee Natasha Massey, breaking down.
Mr Evans was then discharged from the dock and embraced Natasha.

Limbless body discovery: Did you see a fire?
The badly burned body of a man found in a lay-by near the Peak District had its head and limbs missing and was stuffed in a suitcase, police have said.
It is thought the body was dumped some time between 21:00 and midnight on Sunday, just off the A628 at Tintwistle, near Glossop, Derbyshire.
Officers want to hear from anyone who was in the area on Sunday night or who travels regularly along the A628 between Tintwistle and the Flounch roundabout.
One eyewitness reported seeing a fire in the area.

Mr Evans, 27, was originally found guilty of rape at Caernarfon Crown Court in 2012, but this conviction was quashed in April.
He was found not guilty of the same charge at Cardiff Crown Court today.

Police 'liaising with Europol' over limbless body
Police investigating the discovery of a headless, limbless, burned body are liaising with Europol, as the unidentified victim could be a foreign national.
A member of the public discovered the remains on Monday.
Post-mortem examinations revealed the body belonged to a white man under the age of 50, but no DNA matches have been found on the national database.
The cause of death is still unknown.

Ben Needham: Funding will not 'run out'
The senior police officer leading the search for Sheffield toddler Ben Needham on the Greek island of Kos says the Home Office are fully committed to funding the work.
On day 19 of the search, repairs are being made to the farmhouse, part of which was demolished more than a week ago.
Teams are still raking through soil from a second search area.
Even though the work has been extended there is apparently no danger that funding will run out, as Tom Ingall reports:

Rotherham man jailed for sexually abusing women and girls
A man has been jailed for 22 years after admitting sexually abusing five women and girls in South Yorkshire.
Matthew Wood, 24, of Buckleigh Road, Wath, Rotherham, admitted 15 offences against five victims.
He was sentenced at Manchester Crown Court on Thursday.
Wood will serve 14 years in custody with an extended eight years on licence, after he was deemed by the judge to be a dangerous sex offender.
He admitted rape, sexual activity with a child, sexual assault and common assault, as well as possessing and distributing indecent images of children.
