Anyway, that is that from us. Sorry we couldn't provide you with any seismic news.

  2. Your thoughts on Coutinho saga

    #bbcsportsday

Jon Evans: Lfc need to learn how to let players go. Set a price, not hold captive. They are getting a bad rep for holding players.

Road Ahead: Liverpool have had a whole window to improve the team and havent what makes anyone think Klopp would get the money to invest?

  3. Box office

Hoffenheim v Liverpool (Tue, 19:45 BST)

Good to see that presser moved things on... :)

  4. 'I can't influence what happens with Coutinho'

Hoffenheim v Liverpool (Tue, 19:45 BST)

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson asked whether he can influence Coutinho because he is captain: "If I have conversations with Phil it's private. I don't think I can influence the situation. Everything that happens has nothing to do with me."

  5. Your thoughts on Coutinho saga

    #bbcsportsday

Dan Pinch: Klopp is no idiot, he knows as well as every single Liverpool supporter that Coutinho will leave. Cash in, bolster the squad

Aaron Bonsell: The money they get can be spent on 2 new signings or a world class midfielder

  6. 'We want Coutinho to stay'

Hoffenheim v Liverpool (Tue, 19:45 BST)

Reds skipper Jordan Henderson: "It's a difficult situation for Phil. But as players we are focused. During the transfer windows you expect movement of players coming in and out but you focus on the task.

"We want Phil to stay because he's world class. Ask anybody in the team and they want him to stay."

  7. Predictable

Hoffenheim v Liverpool (Tue, 19:45 BST)

That's that for Klopp. It's time for skipper Jordan Henderson to chat to the press which is a mix of English and German newshounds.

So nothing startling about Coutinho. A mixture of scenario 1 and scenario 2 (see 16:45 BST). It's oh so predictable.

  8. 'I won't say anything more on Coutinho'

Hoffenheim v Liverpool (Tue, 19:45 BST)

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp asked against about Coutinho: "I have nothing to say on that. I am here, but I work with the players I have. I don't think of the players I don't have. I've said everything I will say about it."

  9. Strange question

Hoffenheim v Liverpool (Tue, 19:45 BST)

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp asked about what people of Liverpool think of playing Hoffenheim: "I don't know how the Liverpool fans perceive playing a club like Hoffenheim.

"I already knew the team but I haven't spoken to anybody in Liverpool about how what they think about the city of Hoffenheim."

  10. 'We know all about Hoffenheim'

Hoffenheim v Liverpool (Tue, 19:45 BST)

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "I'm not interested in the experience, or lack of it, of Hoffenheim.

"We have been together for 20 months and we always try to give good analysis to the players. We make sure they know about the opponents. We have opponents who are confident and aggressive. We know their qualities."

  11. 'Nothing has changed regarding Coutinho'

Hoffenheim v Liverpool (Tue, 19:45 BST)

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "Nothing has changed in last few days. Not on this side or on the other side.

"He's not available for us at the moment. He cannot play for Liverpool at this moment [back injury]. As you can imagine that's quite a blow. We've known this a few days. Like we have to prepare without Adam Lallana and Daniel Sturridge."

  12. 'We've been looking forward to this'

Hoffenheim v Liverpool (Tue, 19:45 BST)

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "When we celebrated the fourth place we were told we were seeded. Then we saw who we could get. We've been looking forward to this for three months.

"The difficulty of the game and challenge is all clear. We know a lot about Hoffenheim that we can know."

    No questions on Coutinho yet...

  13. Minutes away from Klopp (and the latest on Coutinho)

    Possible scenarios:

    1) Jurgen Klopp: "I will not answer any questions on players not in the squad"

    2) Jurgen Klopp: "I have no more information on Philippe, other than he still is suffering from a back injury."

    3) Jurgen Klopp: "Yup, he's a goner."

Let's see what Liverpool's German manager has to say about Brazil midfielder Philippe Coutinho with regards to his possible move to Barcelona.

    He's up at about now...

  14. 'You cannot turn Barca down'

    MOTD2 Extra

West Ham winger Michail Antonio says he sympathises with Philippe Coutinho's dilemma at Liverpool.

Coutinho submitted a transfer request, hours after the Premier League club released a statement saying he is not for sale.

"As a player you cannot turn Barcelona down," added Antonio on MOTD2 Extra.

"If Barca come knocking, you go. I feel Liverpool are doing the right thing for the club because he is their best player and he does make things happen from nothing. They are standing their ground but then again would you want a player who doesn't want to be at the club?

  15. Liverpool's credibility 'on the line'

    MOTD2 Extra

Jason Burt, chief football correspondent for the Daily Telegraph, says Liverpool's owners could come under fire from fans if Philippe Coutinho leaves for Barcelona.

Liverpool released a statement on Friday insisting the player was not for sale only for Coutinho to submit a transfer request.

"Liverpool's owners have made such a statement that their credibility is on the line with the supporters," added Burt on MOTD2 Extra.

"The problem is if you go so strong and say you're not selling him and then you do sell him, I think it's a long way back with some of the supporters."
