Let's see what Liverpool's German manager has to say about Brazil midfielder Philippe Coutinho with regards to his possible move to Barcelona.

West Ham winger Michail Antonio says he sympathises with Philippe Coutinho's dilemma at Liverpool.

Coutinho submitted a transfer request, hours after the Premier League club released a statement saying he is not for sale.

"As a player you cannot turn Barcelona down," added Antonio on MOTD2 Extra.

"If Barca come knocking, you go. I feel Liverpool are doing the right thing for the club because he is their best player and he does make things happen from nothing. They are standing their ground but then again would you want a player who doesn't want to be at the club?

Jason Burt, chief football correspondent for the Daily Telegraph, says Liverpool's owners could come under fire from fans if Philippe Coutinho leaves for Barcelona.

Liverpool released a statement on Friday insisting the player was not for sale only for Coutinho to submit a transfer request.

"Liverpool's owners have made such a statement that their credibility is on the line with the supporters," added Burt on MOTD2 Extra.

"The problem is if you go so strong and say you're not selling him and then you do sell him, I think it's a long way back with some of the supporters."
