  8. 'Hell is Instagram' says a straight-faced Justin Bieber

    BBC Newsbeat

    Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber shared his theological musings with a UK audience earlier this week, telling them he won't revive his Instagram account as he's "90% sure" its "hell".

He shared his feelings about the social network during a show at London's O2 on Tuesday night.

The singer deleted his account in August after he and his then-girlfriend, Sofia Richie, started being abused.

"Instagram is for the devil. I think hell is Instagram. I'm 90 percent sure," he said.

Someone make him a cup of tea please...

  9. Sound of 2017 nominees play live session for Radio 1

If you haven't heard them then then this is a perfect opportunity to check out Manchester noise monsters Cabbage.

The band were born in the Manchester town of Mossley and have fast gained a reputation for their raucous live shows.

Its part of what has critics excited about them and has helped them into the Sound of 2017 long list.

And judging by this ferocious session, it's a reputation well-deserved.

  10. The Voice supergroup performs Jolene

Dolly Parton, Mily Cyrus and a capella group Pentatonix performed Parton's 1973 country classic Jolene on the US version of The Voice.

For us The White Stripes live version of the song remains one of THE great covers of the, well, century so far, frankly.  There, we've said it.  See which one you prefer.

Speaking of Dolly, she has today announced she'll donate $1,000 (£797) a month to families affected by the fires.

The singer said she would provide help "until they get back up on their feet".

"I've always believed that charity begins at home," Parton said in a video statement.

  11. Ed Sheeran jokes about his new scarface

    Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran has cracked a joke about his cool new Action Man style facial scar at a charity gig in London.

During his first official performance of 2016 at the Natural History Museum, he said: "It's nice to be back. I've had a whole year off.

"I went to Japan for about a month and hung out with Japanese people. Got my face cut open, anyone read about that?"

According to reports, Ed was accidentally cut on the face by Princess Beatrice during a party prank in which she pretended to knight Jame Blunt - you couldn't make this up.

The singer was playing to 350 guests at the East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) gala dinner.

  12. Bob Dylan absent from White House Nobel Prize event

    Bob Dylan

The latest on the never-ending Bob Dylan Nobel prize non-story now.

The 75-year-old singer, who received the Nobel Prize for Literature a few months back, was a notable absentee from a White House event celebrating recipients of the gong yesterday.

President Barack Obama hosted four of America's other 2016 Nobel Laureates but Bob, who was invited, was nowhere to be seen.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest said:

Quote Message: Unfortunately, Bob Dylan will not be at the White House today. So everyone can relax."

Dylan has already confirmed to the academy that he will not travel to Sweden to receive his award in person at the ceremony in December "due to pre-existing commitments" but is still required to give a Nobel lecture between now and next June.

Poor old Bob, he didn't ask for any of this did he?  We're reminded of these lyrics from one of his epic musical poems from 1965:

"Right now, I can't read too good, don't send me no more letters no

Not unless you mail them from Desolation Row."

    Take heed everybody.

  13. Kanye West released from hospital

Kanye West is reportedly back at home resting more than a week after he was admitted to an LA hospital with exhaustion.

According to multiple reports in the US, the rapper left UCLA Medical Centre with wife Kim Kardashian and his doctor, Michael Farzam.

The 39-year-old was admitted to hospital last Monday suffering from "temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration", said TMZ.

Get well soon Kanye.  Whether you like his music or not, Music News LIVE is just not the same without him is it?

The British-Iraqi architect - who's designs include the London Olympic Aquatics Centre - started work on the project three months before she died of a heart attack in March.

  15. Some bloke called Drake has topped Spotify's year end list

    Drake

    Nope us neither.

But apparently an actor-turned rapper from Canada is the most streamed artist on Spotify in 2016 with his single One Dance the site's biggest song of the year.

The Canadian star racked up 4.7 billion streams this year, more than half of which were for his album Views.

Too put that in perspective, there are 7.4 billion people on this planet so its like nearly two thirds of them streaming one of his songs.

One Dance alone was streamed 960 million times. Played consecutively, that would take more than 5,200 years.

    That is one long dance...
