Asian men cleared of violent disorder after Rotherham protests

BBC Radio Sheffield
Ten Asian men have been cleared of violent disorder, following clashes in the wake of two rival demonstrations in Rotherham.
They were arrested after a confrontation in the town last September, following a protest by far-right groups and a counter-demonstration by anti-fascist campaigners, which was policed by 800 officers.

A jury at Sheffield Crown Court was shown CCTV footage of violent scenes as a group of white men outside a pub clashed with a group of mainly Asian men.
They all argued they had been acting in self-defence.
The number of people without a job in Yorkshire and the Humber between July and September stood at 151,000 - that's down by 7,000 on the previous quarter, a fall of 5.6%.
The national figure's also fallen - by 37,000 to 1.6 million. That's the lowest level for 11 years.
