That's it from me for today, we'll be back again tomorrow from 08:00 with more news, travel, weather and sport.

Until then, here are five things we learned today:

    3. Need somewhere safe to store your moustache sir?

    5. And black poppy roses will be laid at Remembrance Sunday services in Leeds for the first time

    See you tomorrow.

  2. Police arrest two in van theft crackdown

If you were witness to a bit of police activity this afternoon in Batley this is why:

    Car

The reason is that officers were performing what they call a "tactical vehicle stop". You may have seen it on those police TV programmes.

It's where they surround a vehicle with their cars and bring it to a stop,

West Yorkshire Police say this is the second one they performed today, both on stolen vans. Two people have been arrested.

  3. Weather: Forecast for tonight and tomorrow

    Paul Hudson

    Weather presenter, BBC Look North

Scattered showers dying out tonight, becoming dry with clear periods. Minimum temperature -2C (28F) with a widespread frost and fog patches.

    Abi Jaiyeola

    Reporter, BBC Look North

Black poppy roses have been designed to mark the contribution of soldiers from African and Caribbean countries during conflicts of the last century.

In 2016, for the first time, wreaths of them will be laid at Remembrance Sunday services in Leeds.

Two 16-year-old boys needed hospital treatment after being robbed in Dewsbury Market.

    Dewsbury Market

The incident happened after 20:30 on Thursday 27 October. The two victims were approached by a group of men and were hit until they fell to the floor. The assault continued while they lay on the ground.

A gold Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge phone, a Hublot watch and cash were taken from them.

  6. Jamie Ellis: Hull KR sign Huddersfield Giants half-back as five leave

Relegated Hull KR have signed Huddersfield Giants half-back Jamie Ellis on a season-long loan deal.

    Jamie Ellis

Ellis, 27, played 17 Super League games in 2016, scoring five tries.

Meanwhile, Albert Kelly, Mitch Allgood, Kevin Larroyer, Josh Mantellato and John Boudebza have all been released.

  7. Travel update: Problems in Huddersfield

    BBC Travel

We've got some very slow traffic on the A629 Wakefield Road in Huddersfield. It's partially blocked eastbound between Shorehead Roundabout and the Grosvenor Road junction, because of a broken down lorry. It's leading to congestion on A62 Southgate to the Northumberland Street junction.

  8. Video content

Video caption: 101 year old Ernest Carr from Yeadon could be Britain's oldest poppy seller.
  9. Two arrested for growing cannabis

Two men have been arrested after a cannabis farm was discovered at a house in Huddersfield.

After a tip-off from locals police swooped on the property on Crosland Road in Thornton Lodge on Monday. About 240 fully-grown plants were found which were ready for harvesting.

The two men, aged 21 and 28, have been arrested on suspicion of the production of a controlled drug and immigration offences.

  11. Further talks in Arriva dispute

Earlier I was telling you about the planned 24-hour strike that bus drivers for Arriva in West Yorkshire are due to be taking part in.

Well this afternoon we understand that further talks aimed at averting industrial action are due to take place tomorrow.

    Arriva

About 850 Arriva drivers at depots in Castleford, Dewsbury, Heckmondwike and Wakefield are due to walk out at 03:00 on Monday.

  12. Chinese money to come to Yorkshire?

The government is trying to persuade Chinese investors to fund big developments in Yorkshire

    Kirkstall forge

It wants foreign businesses to help bankroll five building projects - one of those is at Kirkstall Forge in Leeds.

A new train station has already been built, but there are also plans for homes and office space.

  13. Surgery could close because of lack of doctors

A doctors' surgery in Keighley could close because no GPs can be found to run it.

Today, patients get a chance to question officials about its future.

    North Street Surgery

The North Street Surgery has about 6,700 patients but the current operator's contract runs out at the end of the month - and there isn't a company willing to take it over.

Staff have been told it could potentially close and if that happened, patients would have to go to one of the other four practices in the town, two of which we're told are close to capacity.

The NHS says making sure all patients have access to a GP is a priority.

  14. Weekend stargazers to enjoy biggest 'supermoon' since 1948

If you're up late on Sunday night you could be in for an astronomical treat - a view of the biggest "supermoon" in 68 years.

    Supermoon

On the night of the 13/14 November, the moon will come closer to Earth than at any point since 1948 .

It will appear up to 30% brighter and 14% bigger than an average full moon, according to NASA.

It will be the brightest and largest of three "supermoons" to occur in 2016. The first came on 16 October 16 with the third due on 14 December.

  15. Yorkshire's 70,000 'lonely' pensioners

Yorkshire's been named second only to London for loneliness among older people.

    Old man

The Silver Line Helpline says it's received nearly nearly 70,000 calls from this region since it opened in 2013.

Almost 30,000 of those came from West Yorkshire, putting this area at number four.

  16. Revised bus timetables published ahead of strike

On Monday next week, hundreds of Arriva bus drivers in West Yorkshire are set for a 24-hour strike in a row over pay and shifts.

    Arriva

About 850 Arriva drivers at depots in Castleford, Dewsbury, Heckmondwike and Wakefield are to walk out.

The strike is due to start at 03:00 on Monday.

Arriva has just released a list of the routes that will be affected and revised timetables.
