HS2: Plans for '10 minute' journey time from Nottingham to Toton

Notts County Council has been talking again about plans for a possible rail link from the Robin Hood line to the new HS2 station at Toton.
It comes after a meeting of East Midlands politicians today in which plans were revealed to create a shuttle service that would get passengers between the cities of Nottingham and Derby and the Toton hub in around 10 minutes.
However details are a bit scant at the moment.

A woman has been pulled off her BMX by a man, who then went on to steal the bike.
It happened on the path at the back of the Cuckoo Birch pub in Jubilee Way South, Mansfield, on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said they'd like to hear from two women who were sat at the bus stop opposite the pub at the time.

Remember when Nottinghamshire Police made international headlines for making misogyny a hate crime earlier this year?
Well the force's top police officer, Sue Fish, has been given award for her part in driving that forward.

The chief constable won the Law Enforcement Upstander award at a ceremony in London yesterday.
An official petition has now been created asking the Crown Prosecution Service to follow Nottinghamshire's lead and recognise misogyny as a hate crime and encourage other forces to do the same.
These West Bridgford estate agents not only came to work wearing their PJs but also had a go at the mannequin challenge.

Children in Need cash helps city School for Parents

Man sought over attack on girl

Police want to speak to a man following what they're describing as an "attack" on a 12-year-old girl in Farndon.
The girl was unharmed but left shaken in the attack which happened at about 17:00 as she got off a bus in the Long Lane area.
The man was described as about 18 with a five-point star tattoo on the front of his neck and a scar above his right eye.
He had black or brown hair and "muscly arms", police said.
