    1. For the first time, Bradford city centre is going to play host to the Tour de Yorkshire bike race.
    2. Several people have had their drinks spiked with ketamine while they've been on a night out in Leeds, it's being claimed.  
    3. A Leeds volunteer says Calais migrants face a lack of information and direction.
    4. The chief executive Steve Gill has told BBC West Yorkshire Sport that winger Denny Solomona has not been sold.
    5. Former Morley & Outwood MP Ed Balls loves showing off his Strictly moves.
  2. Listen: Can Guiseley move off the bottom of the table?

    Guiseley can move off the bottom of the National League if they can win at home to Gateshead tonight and other results go their way. 

    It follows Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Forest Green, and Guiseley boss Adam Lockwood says the players can't lose faith now:

  3. Weather: Clear spells with fog

    A fine end to the afternoon with some clear spells this evening, allowing fog patches to form. 

    Cloud will tend to thicken overnight with some hill fog developing. Lows of 9C (48F). 

    Variable cloud tomorrow thick enough for the odd light shower, especially in the west but generally dry with some brighter spells. Highs of 14C (57F).

  4. Police were jealous of my lifestyle, claimed handcuffed Lotto rapist

    A lottery winning rapist claimed the police were jealous of his lifestyle after he was convicted of resisting arrest.

    Iorworth Hoare, 64, now known as Edward Thomas, became aggressive after four police officers arrived at his house following an allegation of flashing, telling them: “I’m a multi-millionaire, I’m not going anywhere.”

  5. A Leeds mum is raising funds to get her daughter back from Egypt after being sectioned

    A mother from Leeds is trying to raise money to get her daughter home safely from Egypt after she became ill whilst on holiday. 

    Grace Wheeler's daughter Karleena was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia three years ago and was sectioned in the country at the end of September. 

    The cost of her medical fees and special assisted flight home when she's stable will now amount to £5000.

    Grace told BBC Radio Leeds that her daughter didn't bring any of her medication with her.

  9. A bank, the accountants and a Leeds car auction firm ‘brought down by boss’s lifestyle’

    A businessman embroiled in a High Court fight with Lloyds Bank bosses over the financing of a Yorkshire car auction firm has said he “can’t wait for justice to be done”.  

    Lawyers are preparing for the next stage of the dispute which is centred on the now-insolvent Premier Motor Auctions.

  10. New signing for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats

    Judah Mazive has signed a one year deal with Wakefield.

    The winger, who is a product of the Trinity Youth and Academy system, made his debut for the first team in the Super 8s campaign against Wigan Warriors at the DW Stadium back in August before going on to score his first try the following week against Warrington Wolves.

    The Pink Ladoo Project want to eradicate gender-biased South Asian practices, customs and traditions...by giving out Pink Ladoos to celebrate the arrival of a daughter!

  13. Can you help solve a 30 year old murder in Mirfield?

    Police have re-opened the murder case of William Smith who was violently attacked 30 years ago today.

    He'd been choked to death and found on the embankment that borders the rear of the Mirfield Memorial Park and the Calder Hebble Canal.

  14. Bradford's buildings will not be 'sold off on the cheap'

    Bradford council should look at selling off more of its dilapidated buildings according to a senior politician in the city. 

    Andrew Mallinson says sites across the district need millions of pounds worth of repairs, which the council can't afford. 

    The authority previously released plans to raise around £14m by selling land over the next three years.

     But the Conservative councillor says it must choose carefully which sites it sells.

  15. Tour De Yorkshire could be worth up to £3m for Bradford

    The Chief Executive of Bradford City Council says they're expecting a huge return on their investment from the Tour De Yorkshire.

    The city has been announced as one of the six places that will host a start or finish along with Harrogate, Scarborough, Sheffield and Tadcaster.

    Kersten England said that talks have been going on for over a year and that the cycle race will pass by City Park where you can expect the fountains to be on along with a light show!

  16. Game of Thrones comes to Wakefield

    Here's one for fans of the hit HBO Series Game of Thrones.

    If you're in Wakefield this weekend then you can take a seat on one of the most famous chairs on TV - The Iron Throne!

    A replica of the chair will be at the Trinity Walk shopping centre and it's been signed by some of the stars .

  18. Halifax Piece Hall nearly ready to open its doors again

    This massive block of stone is a symbol of how close we are to completion of the refurbishment of Halifax's landmark Piece Hall.

    Work to turn the Grade I-listed site into shops, cafes, offices and a large town square has been set back by a number of unexpected issues, including the discovery of a graveyard and the subsequent excavation of 200 bodies.  

    The aim is to make the Piece Hall a destination in its own right, bringing in day-trippers from West Yorkshire, the north of England and far beyond.

  19. Bestselling Bradford author reveals secret to his success

    Bradford writer A A Dhand already has TV execs clambering over the small screen rights to his bestselling crime thriller Streets of Darkness.

    Now, Dhand - who's a pharmacist by day - is set to explain more about this 10-year pet project at a special event in his home city.

    He's due to speak at the Yorkshire Enterprise Network about how to become a published author. Should make for a good listen!
