  1. Goodbye: Five things we learned today

    Alex Rhodes

    BBC Lincolnshire Live

That's it for Monday but we'll be back from tomorrow at 08:00 with all the latest news, travel, sport and weather from across the county. For now I'll leave you with five things we've learned today:

    1. A man will go on trial next month accused of shooting at people with an air gun in Boston
    2. Farmers are being warned about a strain of bird flu after outbreaks across mainland Europe
    3. RAF Waddington says they're planning to fully reopen next week
    4. A Grimsby woman who was seriously injured in a car crash is hoping to walk again using 'bionic legs'
    5. There's going to be a 'supermoon' tonight... but you're probably not going to be able to see it
  2. Aircraft spotters' cafe flying high after RAF Waddington news

    Alex Rhodes

    BBC Lincolnshire Live

More now on the re-opening of RAF Waddington next week.

Lincolnshire has always been the place to be if you're into aviation and for a long time the WAVE cafe opposite RAF Waddington offered some of the best views of aircraft taking off and landing.

However, work to extend the runway has meant there hasn't been a lot to see for a couple of years and that's had a big impact on the cafe.

Owner Joe Robinson says there's been more activity today and he hopes it's the start of things to come:

Quote Message: The day after the last aircraft went we lost 75% of trade and that's been the same for the last 26 months, so now things will hopefully start to pick up and we can start to smile again." from Joe Robinson WAVE Cafe

  3. Here's your weather forecast for this evening

    Paul Hudson

    Weather presenter, BBC Look North

Staying fairly dry tonight but thick cloud means you'll struggle to get a good look at the moon, "super" or otherwise.

The cloud cover means it'll stay quite mild though, highs of 12C with a steady wind coming from the west.

  4. Traffic and travel: Accident on A18 Scunthorpe

    BBC Travel

There's been an accident on the A18 Lakeside Parkway in Scunthorpe.

The road is partially blocked in both directions near Ashby Ville roundabout due to an accident.

  5. Clouds might block our view of the 'supermoon'

    BBC Look North

    East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire

The moon will be the closest it's been to the earth since 1948 and in typical fashion the Great British weather means we might not see it!

  7. Dementia 'now leading cause of death'

    Kimberley Metcalfe

    BBC Local Live

Dementia, including Alzheimer's Disease, has overtaken heart disease as the leading cause of death in England and Wales, latest figures reveal.

    Brain scan

Last year more than 61,000 people died of dementia - 11.6% of all recorded deaths.

The Office for National Statistics says the change is largely due to an ageing population.

  14. Gibraltar Point Centre staying open later for 'supermoon'

    Alex Rhodes

It seems that all anyone wants to talk about today is the "supermoon" so I may have some good news for anyone out there hoping to get a good look.

Gibraltar Point Visitor Centre says they're planning to stay open later than normal until 16:30 as long as the skies clear up and the moon is visible.

This is what it looked like from the centre yesterday:

  16. Bird flu fears on east coast

    Paul Murphy

    BBC Look North

Poultry farmers on the East Coast are being told to watch out for signs of bird flu after outbreaks across mainland Europe.

The last outbreak in the UK was in the Driffield area in 2014 but now the National Farmers' Union is advising producers to be alert and offering them advice about keeping their birds safe.

But wildlife experts told me the risk from migratory birds is low.
