  14. Money-saving teen warns us not to get carried away on Black Friday

Before you join millions of others splashing the cash on Black Friday, an Essex money-saving blogger is, as you'd expect, urging caution.

    Jordon Cox

Jordon Cox, from Shenfield, said shoppers should only make a purchase if they were already planning on buying something.

"If you just buy things for the sake of it then you're not going to save money, and you're just giving more money away to the brands which is their job, to get you to spend," Jordon told BBC Essex.

  15. Danny Dyer discovers another famous ancestor

Another revelation for Danny Dyer, who featured in the latest episode of the BBC's genealogy show Who Do You Think You Are was that through his Suffolk connections, he's also related to Thomas Cromwell, Henry VIII's right-hand man, who was played by Mark Rylance in the BBC drama Wolf Hall (pictured).

    Mark Rylance as Thomas Cromwell

His 12-times great-grandmother, Catherine Cromwell, wife of Lionel Tollemache, was Thomas Cromwell's great grand-daughter.
