  2. Fire crews scaled back in Ingoldmells

    More on the fire at the hotel in Sea Lane. Ingoldmells.

    At the height of the blaze eight fire engines were attending the property on Sea Lane, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue say four of those will be removed from the scene.

  4. Man who wrote apology to young abuse victim jailed

    A Gainsborough man who wrote a letter apologising to a young girl he sexually abused has been jailed for four years today at Lincoln Crown Court.

    Mathew Shanks, 28, of Morton Terrace, who wept in the dock throughout his 20-minute hearing, was told he caused "immeasurable harm" to his victim who was just six years old when he first abused her.

    In a statement read out in court, the victim said she felt disgusted by what Shanks had done to her and had received counselling.

    He admitted a string of offences and has been put on the sex offenders register for life.  

  5. Water problems affecting huge area in south of county

    It's more than just Boston being affected by the water pressure problems. 

    A map on the Anglian Water website shows the full area with low pressure or no water at all.

    The company have yet to pinpoint the exact problem but they believe one of the biggest water mains in the area has burst.

    Anglian Water say there's a large scale problem affecting 10,000 homes in the area.

  8. Grimsby man in hospital after 'legal high' overdose

    A 43-year-old man is fighting for his life at the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital after he's believed to have overdosed on a so-called legal high known as Spice.

    Police said the man collapsed at a flat on Thorgam Court just before 18:00 on Monda,y and two men and two women were arrested in connection with the incident a short time later.

  10. Clean-up under way at Kirton-in-Lindsey ram raid shop

    We told you earlier about the thieves who used a heavy vehicle to steal a cash machine from a store in Kirton-in-Lindsey.

    Staff there are now beginning the unenviable task of cleaning up the damage.

  11. Former UKIP leadership candidate says party 'can't claim a win'

    Earlier we told you that the Leader of UKIP Paul Nuttall had described placing second in the Sleaford and North Hykeham by-election as a "great result" for his party.

  13. Hotel fire: Eight fire crews tackle blaze

    About 40 firefighters are continuing to tackle a blaze at the Sea Lane Hotel in Ingoldmells.

    Eight fire crews, including some using breathing apparatus, are dealing with the fire, and an aerial ladder platform is also in attendance.

    It's not yet known if anyone has been injured in the blaze.

    Sea Lane remains closed at the Hurdman Way junction.

  16. BreakingATM stolen in night-time digger raid

    A digger has been used to steal an ATM in Kirton-in-Lindsey in North Lincolnshire. 

    It happened in the early hours of this morning:

    Police received a call at about 02:00 reporting that a digger was being used to take the cash machine from the One Stop Shop in High Street. 

    Four men were said to have been involved and the machine was taken away in the back of a van. 

    Officers say they are encouraging businesses with cash machines outside their premises to ensure they have good security measures in place.
