Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher: Artist tributes

Mother-and-daughter stars Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher are being remembered through cartoons depicting their best-loved characters.
A day after the death of Star Wars heroine Fisher, her mother, Singin' in the Rain star, Reynolds, also died.
One of the most widely shared cartoons, attributed to the artist Ricky LaChance, shows both actors standing arm-in-arm and looking toward heaven.
"Adding two more stars to the heavens," wrote one Instagram user. A Twitter commentator said it was "so beautiful, the perfect memorial"
Illustrator Norio Fujikawa also depicted the actors in their trademark roles - as Princess Leia in Star Wars and Kathy Selden in Singin' in the Rain - sharing a black umbrella.
Many have been using the images to express their grief on Twitter and Instagram using hashtags like #finalcurtaincall and #togetherforever.
French digital artist Mlle Arole shared this picture of the actors, calling it, "Mother and Daughter".
'Great advocate of mental health'
Earlier in the week artists had reacted to Fisher's death with memorial artwork.
Artist Mark Hiblen told the BBC he grew up with Star Wars and it influenced his illustrations for years:
"I think the world has lost a very interesting lady and a great advocate of mental health."
'She is the one with the force'
In Bangkok, Thailand, freelance illustrator Visansaya Loisawai tweeted her tribute to Fisher as Princess Leia.
A Star Wars fan since a small child, Visansaya told the BBC: "In real life she was as strong, talented and feminist as Leia. She has always inspired me."
'Deeply saddened'
An hour after hearing the news about Carrie Fisher's death, Gavin Lomas, in Liverpool, UK, drew two pictures of her Princess Leia character from 1977 and 2015.
"I was deeply saddened. It came as a shock. I expected her to be around for a long time because she wasn't very old," he said.
"I'm a massive Star Wars fan and a big admirer of her work battling mental health."
'So strong'
Fernando Monroy, from Mexico, drew this tribute to the Princess Leia character on the day Carrie Fisher passed away.
"She was so strong and such a nice person." he told the BBC.
'Rest in peace'
And finally, Benson Shum's image of Princess Leia holding hands with Yoda along with the post 'Rest in Peace Carrie Fisher' has had hundreds of retweets.
