Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro: "We have had opportunities, we scored two goals that have not been valid, but I think there are no excuses now. We have not played well, it is a delicate moment to speak because we have not played well.
"We are working and we are in time to change all that. We know we have to change. "

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola to BT Sport: "We saw the results yesterday and today, we know how difficult the Champions League is. We defended really well and we created chances.
"To start with three points away is so important, it is in our hands to reach the last 16.
"When you win the manager makes the right decisions, when you lose the wrong decisions. We lost one game in eight months and we will not doubt who these players are. It is a joy to be their manager.
"We prepare for the next one. We don't have many choices in defence, Fernandinho is the only one I have. He is a clever player and an incredible guy. He did it well."

When you go 2-0 up you expect to see the game out, especially with the quality Juventus had at hand.
But if you go to Atletico Madrid first game and get a draw, I think you'd be pretty happy with that. They won't be happy with the way it happened but you'd take a draw there, for sure.

PSG look like a real force this year. Don't forget they had no Neymar, no Mbappe - they're still to come back in the team. They've got to be up there with the favourites.
With the Champions League, you don't really know till the latter stages, but it was a great start for them.

Man City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, speaking to BT Sport: "We played quite well I think. The first goal away helps you but we never relaxed, kept the ball well and created a lot of chances. the result is great for us at a tough ground.
"We had at least a couple of clear chances. But the third goal killed the game and we were able to play down the last 15 minutes.
"It was necessary to respond and respond well (to the Norwich defeat) All of us, not just individually. They created good chances but we were solid at the back."
City defender Fernandinho: "It was a quiet night at the back but the team have made a very good game. It was easier at the back because we played as a team and the guys up front closed down the space.
"I've been training in this position since the start of the season. Pep knows all about our squad and team. Today was my opportunity and I hope I can improve more."

Glen Carrick: Jose Mourinho back to madrid?
Richard Browne: Zidane in Real trouble.
Nathan Wake: No Mbappe, Neymar or Cavani and they’ve ripped Real Madrid apart. Does it say more about the quality of PSG or the poor state of Real at the moment? Massive rebuild for Zidane but I’ll bet he doesn’t get given the time to do it.

Crisis? What crisis? The boys did well tonight.
City are going to have the ball the majority of the time so in this system, with Fernandinho back there, it could work even better for them, playing out from the back.
Bit City will get tested by a better team further on down the line.

PSG 3-0 Real Madrid
Real have been pumped in Paris. That's the first time since 2003-04 (when Opta started keeping note of these things) that they haven't had a single shot on target in a Champions League game.

It was very comfortable for City, they were very professional. It was the work-rate, it was brilliant. As soon as the ball came out of possession they got in the correct shape and made it difficult for Shakhtar Donetsk to get anywhere. They were setting traps and were clinical going forward, with the amount of runs and timing of the runs. They should have scored more goals but it was a great team performance and a great away win.
He's still got it! Cristiano Ronaldo gets the ball from a throw-in, skips past one man, nutmegs another, turns between a third and a fourth and then fires wide!
