Have we finally reached Peak Eyebrow?
Christmas is upon us and this could be the definitive eyebrow trend of 2017
Ever wondered why we have eyebrows? Are they there so we can express our emotions? Do they have a practical purpose, like shielding our eyes from rain and sweat?
No, no, no.
Let's settle this people: we have eyebrows so that we can decorate them. And this week, that means dressing them as Christmas trees.
Oh yes. The latest eyebrow fashion trend has struck the internet like Santa hitting a January mince pie sale.
All you need is some eyebrow wax, sequins, and a spot of glitter.
Unless of course you want to take things to another level and fully rig up your brows with a set of fairy lights. We do not, of course, recommend trying this at home.
This surely marks our arrival at peak eyebrow. The past year has seen every conceivable brow pattern under the sun, and we’re not sure where else we can go from here.
In October, we had Halloween eyebrows that looked like someone had genuinely cut them out of their forehead.
Bloody terrifying.
Before that there were tin foil brows for those with a taste for sci-fi.
… Or people with surplus kitchen paraphernalia.
We’ve also been introduced to the squiggle brow.
Which pretty much kills any chance of successfully getting your actual emotions across by making you look permanently sassy.
And, finally, in November we were shown the brow crown.
Which made its debut just in time for the royal wedding announcement.
