Other action today saw Adam Gemili miss out on the 100m final before posting an image of him appearing to finish second in his heat. He was officially beaten into second by one hundredth of a second and Michael Johnson saw nothing wrong with the result.

Usain Bolt has not tweeted about the men's 100m result but he has congratulated his countryman Tajay Gayle, who took gold in the long jump earlier.
Christian Coleman: "I am humble, I am just here to win titles.
"It is an incredible time, it is a PB for me. I think the sky's the limit, I think I still have a lot of things I can work on and improve, I think I can keep dropping my time."

So here are the list of the 10 fastest men to ever walk the face of this earth. Well, the 10 who competed at least. There may well be an absolute flying machine somewhere on earth who simply used his gifts to catch buses and get the chippy tea home while still piping hot.
Christian Coleman's 9.76 makes him the sixth fastest man ever. It is however only the joint 15th fastest time ever as the likes of Bolt have run a handful of rapid times at the top of leaderboard.
The men's 100m final is always a spectacle. Maybe not so much in Doha though if these images from Lets Run reporter Jonathan Gault are anything to go by...
World champion Christian Coleman: "World champion, it sounds incredible, too good to be true. For me to make it here and come out with a gold is incredible. I was just out of college two years ago and not many people expected me to win a silver. I expected to come out here and be great and upgrade my silver medal.
"It's hard to compartmentalise and not think about Tokyo - that's huge to go to an Olympics. I will be expected to go there and medal but the work doesn't stop. Hopefully I can make the team."

Justin Gatlin - silver medallist over the 100m - speaks to BBC Sport: "This season was a testament to my endurance and will. I had setbacks this season. I just wanted to stay focused on this race and give it all I got for this season.
"Christian has ran a spectacular season, great times. I couldn't say it was a shock that he would do a great job here. I had to hold on and stay strong in my technique."
Asked if he will be at Tokyo 2020 he says: "I'm coming. I'm going to be better. I'm ready."
