  3. Watch: Take your alpaca for a walk

    The Holly Hagg Community Farm in Sheffield is offering the opportunity and will use the money raised to fund community projects.

    Dry but rather cloudy this evening and overnight, any cloud breaks leading to some mist and fog patches. Minimum temperature of about 4C (39F) with a light southeast wind.

    A dry but cloudy start to Tuesday morning. Turning brighter later, with sunny spells developing but also with a risk of scattered showers. Warmer, with high's around 14C (57F) and a light southerly wind.

  5. Takeaway forced to close after anti-social behaviour

    A takeaway in Sheffield has been forced to close by police because of antisocial behaviour problems and drug dealing.

    The S1 Food Bar in Fitzalan Square will be closed for 28 days after an order was applied from Sheffield Magistrates Court.

    The takeaway has also had its licence to sell alcohol and provide ‘late night refreshment’ revoked because of a licencing review last week.

  6. Man assaulted in Wakefield

    Police in Wakefield are appealing for information following an assault on a man in Lupset. 

    Officers were called to Old Crown Road on Saturday 25 March at about 18:00. The victim, a man in his 40s, had been driving in the area when a second car approached his vehicle.

    The driver of the second vehicle got out of the car and assaulted the victim. He received a serious head injury in the incident and was taken to hospital for treatment.

  7. York City captain faces race against time to make Macclesfield match

    York City captain Simon Heslop is doubtful for tomorrow night's vitally important National League match at Macclesfield.

  8. Violette Uwamahoro: Rwanda court order release of Leeds woman

    A Rwandan court has ordered the release of a pregnant woman from the United Kingdom who was accused of involvement in a plot against Rwanda's government.

    Violette Uwamahoro appeared last week in court in Rwanda's capital Kigali, charged with spreading state secrets.

    A judge said there was no evidence to back up the charges and she should be freed on bail.

    Mrs Uwamahoro, from Leeds, was arrested in February after going to Rwanda for a family funeral.

  9. Watch: Police update on day of action around Sheffield

    You might have see a lot of police in and around Sheffield today as part of a targeted day of action by South Yorkshire Police. 

    Operation Duxford has seen police and other agencies carry out warrants and target anti-social behaviour across the city.

  10. Barnsley man fined for selling dangerous vehicle

    A man from Barnsley has been fined for selling a dangerous car.

    Adam Pistelok, 30, trading as Yorkshire Cars4U, was convicted on Thursday 16 March after selling a Suzuki Jimny last year.

    He pleaded guilty to five offences relating to the sale of the car advertised as being in 'very tidy condition' and with 79,000 miles on the clock - it was actually in extremely poor condition and with a higher mileage than stated.

    He was fined a total of £500 by Barnsley magistrates and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £50 and £1,500 prosecution costs, as well as refund the complainant a total of £1,230 for the purchase price of the car.

  11. Listen: Royal Mail gets tough on scam letters

    New rules from the Royal Mail come into force this morning to try and prevent people being scammed through the post.

    The measures mean some letters may not be delivered or could even be returned to the sender.

    Mike Andrews is the national co-ordinator for the National Trading Standards e-crime centre in Yorkshire.
