Schoolchildren from Flamborough
Primary school will be helping to bring the Yorkshire coast to the heart of London.
They've been helping Welcome to Yorkshire collect nearly two tonnes of unique pebbles for their entry into the Chelsea Flower Show.
The
chalk pebbles are distinct as many have neat, cylindrical holes in them made by
piddocks. The small mussel like sea creatures live on the lower shore and
burrow into soft rocks, like chalk.
If you think its tough collecting them...spare a thought for the people putting them back after the show!
All the pebbles will be returned to the same site in Flamborough once the show is over!
