Last updated on .From the section Women's Football
England women have moved back up to fourth in the Fifa world rankings, overtaking Canada to equal their best ever position.
Germany replace world champions USA as the number one team.
England came third at the SheBelieves Cup earlier in March after a 1-0 win over USA and defeat by European and Olympic champions Germany.
Northern Ireland rise four places to 55th, Wales move up one to 33rd and Scotland stay 21st.
It is the first time since March 2015 that USA have been replaced at the top of the table.
England Women will host Italy and Austria in April - their final home matches before the Euro 2017 finals this summer.

Enough about the men's team, we're talking about the women here...
There are negative comments all over the men's football articles too, many of them slating your writers/BBC personally. Why are they allowed? Seems like you're protecting women's football in particular for no reason.
N.B. 64 out of 119 posts have been removed. This is what happens when a small, but moneyed 'elite' dictate to society at large; very unhealthy.

They're up against next to no opposition in the main and get beaten by the top teams regularly. They've won nothing. Keep it real. The "Lionesses" may be your thing but I suspect most sports fans really dont care. I'd sooner see a kick about down the rec to be honest but fair play to them for enjoying the game.
But enough about the idiots trolling the HYS boards with their sexism and misogyny, let's applaud the ladies' football team who are genuinely world class and deserve the recognition the BBC offers them.
They can't even be classed as number four in their continent.
The moneymen, who control so much, have a well-known agenda. They've an abusive & intolerant relationship with society & are hell-bent on re-engineering it in their own image & likeness (kind of like God).
Money can buy many things but it can only rent some people (not all), & the rent is always coming due. When the money is no longer a factor..then what? ;)

However, calls for financial parity by the likes of Eni Aluko are ridiculous as currently womens football is a poor spectacle, and doesn't generate anywhere near the level of interest as the mens game.
