  3. Search for men after car crash and brawl in Castleford

    A group of men in two cars that collided allegedly ended up brawling in Castleford on Sunday.

    Police say they would like to speak to anyone with any information after the cars crashed and a number of men are then thought to have got out of the cars and had a fight in the road.

    They then dispersed after a few minutes and ran off into the estate. 

    A 25-year-old Castleford man was arrested and later released.

  5. Travel update: Friday rush hour - but problems on M62

    If you're in South or North Yorkshire things aren't looking too bad for your commute home tonight, but in West Yorkshire following the earlier incident on the M62 things are a little slower.

    Huddersfield is particularly difficult, the red lines mean slow or stopped traffic:

  6. The Full Monty - 20 years on

    Time to make you feel old. The Full Monty film is 20 years old this year!

    Well, two decades on, the love for the film, which was set in Sheffield, is as high as ever and there's also a touring stage show of the piece which is currently on at the city's Lyceum Theatre .

  7. Watch the Sharks on the BBC

  9. Body found in search for North Yorkshire woman

    A body has been found in the search for missing woman Pamela Morris, 61, who was last seen on Tuesday in Skipton.

    The body was found in the River Wharfe near Bolton Abbey this morning.

    Police say that they don't believe her death is suspicious.

  10. Dad will run half marathon to say 'thank you'

    A dad is running the Yorkshire Half Marathon in Sheffield on Sunday to thank Sheffield Children's Hospital.

    Bob Horgan from Crosspool in Sheffield has never done anything like this before but decided to take part after the trust helped treat his baby son's meningitis.

  12. Travel update: Huddersfield gridlock after M62 closure

    Here's a snap shot of Huddersfield at the minute, basically the dark lines mean slow traffic so as you can see there's a lot of slow moving traffic at the minute.

  14. Travel news: M62 reopens after long closure

    As we head towards the Friday rush hour, Highways England now say that the M62 is reopen, but those queues are back almost as far as J22 so are going to take a long time to clear.

  15. Campaign launched to save a West Yorkshire job centre

    A campaign's been launched to try to save Batley job centre.

    It's one of 72 facing closure across the country under plans drawn up by the Department of Work and Pensions. 

    The Batley and Spen MP, Tracy Brabin, says the closure would hit the poorest the hardest.

  16. Plan to get South Yorkshire station reopened remains on track

    A campaign to reopen Askern Railway Station is gathering steam after a meeting with Doncaster council, representatives from the Sheffield City Region and rail companies.

    The original station was built in 1848 but closed in 1948, although parts of the platform have remained in place.

  17. Desperate Dan in Augusta

    Hope Sheffield golfer Dannny Willett packed his spade for Augusta.

    The defending Masters champion has been in the sand on the way to carding a quadruple bogey on the first hole today.

    He's managed to steady the ship somewhat from there though, to stay five over through the third hole.  

  18. Pupils help their head train for marathon

    A headteacher at a Sheffield primary school is doing something a little different to help her train for the London Marathon.

    Rebecca Rickersley, from Mansel Primary School, asked all her pupils to dress up in red and run a mile around the playground with her.
